Apple Chutney

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
I also had the same experience that others had--there was MUCH too much vinegar. I made a special trip to the grocery store to get the white wine vinegar. This was inedible as a typical chutney; however, I managed to salvage the batch by pouring it over a pork roast and putting it in the crock pot all day on low.

Raspberry Sour Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
This is by far the best Raspberry pie I have made. Half the recipe did perfectly fill a 9 inch pie shell. I did use more raspberries--almost twice as much as called for. I also used light sour cream which was just fine. I have tried this with multiple crusts and my favorite is the shortbread crust recipe on this site in a 9x13 pan with the full recipe to make bars. Graham cracker crust is good also.

White Sangria

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
I have tried several recipes for white sangria, including another from this site, and this is by far the best. I only had frozen mango so I added some of this as well as a cut up fresh peach to the oranges. Everyone loved it.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
These were just awesome! What a surprise. I have made these both with apples, and with bananas and nutella--both are excellent!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
This was very good for a quick chocolate cake, but still says "I'm a cake mix from a box" in the end. If you are pressed for time, this is a great choice, but nothing beats a Chocolate zucchini cake for a home made, super moist chocolate cake.

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I have been making this every year for a neighborhood breakfast party--always disappears. I always cook the onions with the sausage and fresh sage. To save time the morning of the party, I cook the sausage mixture a few weeks ahead of time and freeze this. The night before the party I move it into the fridge, and it is ready to mix in with the other ingredients in the AM. Yummy!
