Savoiardi I

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
With the help of my Kitchenaid mixer, this recipe was super simple and easy, plus it makes fantastic ladyfingers! I only had to bake tme for about 10 minutes, one batch burned on the bottom, so keep an eye on that!

Crumbly Lemon Bundt Cake with Glaze

Reviewed: May 28, 2014
I didn't change a thing when I made this recipe. It was very moist and because it didn't mention greasing the pan I didn't, and it turned out fine! I personally think it's flavor could be enhanced by adding some white or dark chocolate chunks to the batter... Something to think about as you enjoy the lemony deliciousness! My husband (who doesn't generally like cakes) really enjoyed this, as did all who had a slice at the BBQ we brought it to. Thanks for the recipe!

Hot Chocolate Mix I

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2014
A great, simple recipe. I used vanilla creamer Instead of plain coffee creamer and then when serving it, used 3 tablespoons per serving and filled the cups half with hot water, the rest with cold milk, since it was made for my kiddos. The result is a quick tastey (and affordable) instant hot chocolate! Thanks for the treat! The children are pleased and so am I!

African Curry

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
Holy smoke. This is some amazing curry that is SUPER simple to make! My family (and I) went nuts for this when I made it! It really IS comparable to a restaurant dish. I used chicken breast but other than that made this exactly as directed... And I will be making this dish again! Thanks for an excellent recipe Valleriekooka!

Cream-Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
This recipe is perfect for an introduction to making cream-filled cupcakes! The first batch I made exactly as described, and they were delicious! (ok ok, I used all-butter for the filling and filled the cupcake from the top rather than through the bottom.) Everyone enjoyed these-- Even friends, and my husband, who is not big on cakey desserts devoured multiples! Thank you for a GREAT recipe Edie!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
I've made these twice; the first time, they were a bit too hot for my children and husband (I like spice!) so the 2nd time I used medium salsa instead of the green chile peppers, and it was perfect! I also added about 3 T of cream cheese into the soup mixture, simply because I'm addicted to enchiladas with cream cheese in them! Anyway, just wanted to say these are great! Super easy, too!! Thank you Jeri Reed for the wonderful recipe!

Chocolate Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
Extremely RICH and creamy! Delicious pie; if you love dark chocolate I highly recommend trying this pie! YUM. On a side note, I did change the milk to 2 3/4 c. and added 1/4 cup Irish cream liquor, which took it over the top! And then, since it was an Irish Cream kind of night, I decided to add a splash of it into the whipping cream while mixing it up! If I did that again, I'd add some sugar to it too (I didn't this time, and although it was good...well, perhaps I have a bit of a sweet tooth ...) Thank you so much Cecil for the amazing recipe! Well done!

Simple Feta Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
AWESOME salad! Holy moly! I love love love this recipe! It's so easy and quick, but more then that, it's delicious! The first time I made it, I used sweet onions, and it was good, but after that I decided to try spring onions with it, and THAT is what made it perfect (for my taste, anyway)! Oh, I also used Grape tomatoes the first time around, which was really yummy, too. I just made it again, for the 3rd time, this time with the called-for Cherry tomatoes, and it, too, was amazing! I just love finding such simple, easy-to-make recipes. This is what makes cooking fun (for me anyway!) Thanks for posting this recipe! My taste buds and I are forever indebted to you! :)

Strawberry Yogurt Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
I don't understand why people want a super sweet scone; it's a SCONE, not shortcake! This was a super easy recipe, although I did change it a tad; I used 6 oz. yogurt, and only 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder. The extra 2 oz. yogurt didn't seem to affect the recipe except that the inside were just a bit too moist (I think next time I will bake them for 12 mins. instead of just 10), and the scones still rose to a nice size despite using less B.P. I think, for not using any eggs OR sugar, this recipe is really good! The texture (other than the slightly-too-moist issue) was really pleasant, too. With jam... without jam... That is the question!

Baked Tortilla Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
Well, how nice! I was not expecting much from this recipe, just needed to use up some of my old flour tortillas. But what a pleasant surprise! I only made one batch, and they were a little over-browned, but still edible, yummy and crunchy too! Perhaps it's because my tortillas were old and slightly dried out, but at any rate, these were great! I also don't have a mister, so I just mixed the oil and juice together and put my 4-year-old to work and had her brush it on each chip (*grin*) Thanks for the simple recipe!
