About this Cook
Mother of 2, happily married to the man of my dreams, learning to enjoy cooking creatively! I really have a hard time with cooking in a new home, I'm learning... It's like I have to get settled down and then can feel confident enough to feel adventurous in the kitchen to make more than boxed foods. Weird huh?
My favorite things to cook
I would have to say, hands-down, I love baking! Sometimes I wish I had all the time and money (...and freezer-space) in the world just to bake...
My cooking triumphs
heh heh... For some of us, mastering a pie-crust is something to write home about :) Also, cooking my first turkey before I hit 30 was a highlight.
My cooking tragedies
hm. I always have a rough time making omellets (however you spell it). For some reason, no matter how patient I try to be, they always struggle with wanting to become scrambled eggs. Still working on that one!

Welfare Cake
This cake is very good; I appreciate it because I find it is hard to nail down a true chocolatey flavor when making chocolate cake from scratch-- but this meets my standard! It is especially good with a chocolate glaze poured on it while still warm, and served up with a cup of cold milk... Yummy! Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken
Very good! I didn't have enough soy sauce so I used terriaki sauce as a sub, also I have really light weight kids so I used half the amount of hot sauce-- and took others advice and dredged the chicken in flour, as well as cooked down the sauce while I browned the chicken. It was a hit!!

"Light as a Feather" Scones
Mmm! So good! The only thing I changed was the flavor of yogurt used (Honey) everything else I made as directed, and they turned out lovely! Thanks for the delicious recipe!
