Lamb Patties

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I will give this recipe five stars even though my puff pastry was not golden on top ( I think I did not thaw the dough properly and maybe oven temp). Other then that they were amazing! I made them for a mediterranian christmas party and they were gone before anything else. I made a taziki sauce and a mediterranian red sauce for dippers YUM! FYI do not substitute for beef like the other rater Lamb and Beef taste completly different and the spices will seem wierd with beef. :)

Cranberry Walnut Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
Yes I liked the cookies but like everyone else I did make small changes to fit my tastes. I did not use cinnammon I used 1.5 tsp of pumpkin spice which has cinnammon in it but also a bunch of other nice spices. I also use 2.5 tsp vanilla but I do not think that most people notice but I do. Anyhow when I have chocolate lovers around I decrease the nuts to 1/2 a cup and add 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate. Depending on the size of your cookie the time is fairly accurate when I use my tablespoon cookie scoop its perfect but when that broke (ahhh) then I did it by hand and they needed a extra min or so. Overall I like the recipe and recommend it...they make alot of cookies so I would think twice about doubling the recipe unless you really need to either way they will definitely be eaten! :)

Lizzy's Creamy Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2012
This recipe is fairly basic and easy to put together or add things to make it your own. I did not have chicken breast so I used chicken thighs so I did not have the problem of the meat not having enough flavor. For all the people who were having flavor problems its because chicken breast is nbot a flavorful piece of meat due to the fact that it is so lean and can be think and lean so you get a mouthful of bland. If that is a problem try brining you chicken breast and then use them for whatever your cooking. The only thing I added was spinach and I might add diced tomatoes next time to just for some freshness since everything is from a can. It tasted fine and made my dinner a breeze :)

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
The recipe was good and very dense. I think that it is good as a breakfast bread on the go. I added about a cup of walnuts and a couple of dashes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Very good thanks :)

Rainbow Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
The recipe saved me for my easter potluck. I did not use broccoli since my husband and I despise it. I also did not use corn but I did add: pepper jack cheese, chedder cheese, olives and pepper/salt. I topped it all off with some parmisan/asagio cheese mix. I did parboil the carrots which was smart thanxs to one of the other reviewers. All in all I will make it again :)

Mediterranean Black Olive Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
I read the previous comments and adjusted the temperature which allowed my bread to come out perfectly. The bread was gobbled up at a Mediterranean themed christmas party this year. I made another loaf two days later and added some garlic powder and italian herbs ( 1tbls each) to add some flavor. I would have given this recipe a five but the temp in the recipe is off for most ovens.

Mom's Pie Crust for a Double Crust Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
So my thoughts on the recipe is that it is not that great but I did not give it one star because it may be because of a few things. The dough needs to be really thin I think for it to be "light and flaky". I like a thicker dough so one recipe was enough for just the bottom of my 9 pie pan. Then I did another for the top pattern. Anyhow when baked it was ediable but definately not award winning. I will try to thin out the crust and then update this review but those do not want a paper thin crust this is not quite the one to use.
