Chocolate Waffles I

My 9 year old daughter asked me to make chocolate waffles so i looked up a recipe on here...this was a very good recipe, we all loved it. Did make th glaze. Topped with fresh strawberries, powder sugar and a drizzle of chocolate syrup..YUM! I did put in 1/3 cup cocoa powder, and separated the egg whites beat until stiff peaks and folded in the battter at the won't be sorry for doing this step...makes for a light fluffy waffle. As i was eating this i was thinking how good this would be with ice cream and hot time :)

Asian Orange Chicken

I absolutely loved this. However, my husband and daughter thought it was too sweet so maybe next time I will cut the brown sugar in half. I like it sweet, but as to compromise :( They also thought it was too orangy?? Well I told them IT IS orange chicken! All the while they were saying it was too sweet and too orangy they kept eating it and there were no leftovers!!!I also did not have an issue with the chicken not staying crispy. I mixed bread crumbs in with the flour, dredged in flour/breadcrumb mixture, then egg, then flour/breadcrumb mixture again. I used more oil to fry chicken in as to get a good crispy crust. I had to cook the chicken in 3 batches, keeping it warm in the oven in between. I poured the sauce over the finished chicken before serving. To me it was great.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

My family loved these. Made my daughter chocolate chip, myself blueberry, and my husband plain. I added an extra 1/4 cup milk to the batter because it was really thick. They still came out like super thick fluffy pancakes. They need lots of syrup but yummy!

Sloppy Joes II

Just making this for dinner tonite, I actually had a can of manwich sitting on my counter but this seemed so simple and I had everything on hand. Followed the recipe exactly, LOVE IT!! I think that can of Manwich will be sitting in my cupboard for a very very long time! Thanks for a great recipe.

Salisbury Steak

My whole family loved it! This is what I call comfort food. I did not have any problems at all with my patties crumbling or falling apart. I made sure they got a good sear before I flipped them over and they stayed together just fine. I used ground sirloin and these were still very moist and tender. Followed recipe with the exceptions for doubling the gravy and adding a can of cream of mushroom soup to the gravy, put patties and gravy in a covered baking dish with gravy at 350 for 1 hour. Came out very very moist and tender. Will definitely be making this again.

Bubble Pizza

The idea of this pizza is really great. I brushed the tops of my biscuits with garlic butter and italian seasoning. I topped it with italian sausage and pepperoni and green olives. My 8 year old daughter said this was the best pizza EVER and my husband absolutely loved it. I love how this can be changed up with a variety of toppings...I will definitely be using this one again as a base and do some expiermenting with other toppings too. I bet this would make a good dessert pizza with the apples drizzled with a glaze...hmmmm

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

I made this in a 9x13 glass dish instead of making 2 pies. I took the advice of other reviewers and only used half the milk and about 3/4 of the whipped topping and 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter. I made an oreo crust out of 24 cookies and 5 Tablespoons of butter. I layered half the filling and topped it with chopped up Reeses Peanut butter cups and hot fudge topping, put another layer of the filling and topped again with the hot fudge ice cream topping making a pretty swirly design then putting more Reeses on top. It was delicious! Will definitely be making this again.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

I just made this frosting the taste was wonderful, I had to make a second batch because me and my daughter couldn't stop eating it by the spoonful...we didn't have enough to frost the cake lol! I used my kitchen aid mixer and I think the trick to making it extra fluffy is to whip it on high speed for a few minutes and it gets really light and fluffy. I ran out of vanilla and I didn't even miss it, it was still perfect! Thank you!
