Cindy's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
HELP! I made this recipe two days ago. I followed everything to a "T". When I poured the mixture into the pie shells- they only filled up half way. I had a torte... not pumpkin pies. I did use 3 cups of ice cream- I went online to look at a pint to cup ratio. I'm not sure what I did wrong. I took the eggs straight from the frig- they were not at room temperature. The ice cream was melted in the microwave... did any of the above hinder the recipe? The "tortes" do taste good... but I would like to make this the correct way next time!!!!

Watergate Salad

I'm not a huge "fluff" fan, but everyone loved it! DRAIN THE PINEAPPLE! USE PECANS! REFRIGERATE BEFORE SERVING! I garnished the top with some multi colored mini marshmallows!

Southwestern Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
REALLY GOOD! I didn't have any Chili Powder (thought I did) so I had to use Mrs Dash "Caribbean Lime".... the main ingredient was Chili Powder. It ended up being to acidic so I added a fresh jalapeno pepper (with seeds). It balanced out the acidity perfectly! And I'll make it again. I garnished mine with three thin slices of lime wedges! Props to the creators!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
This was the first time making a Lemon Meringue Pie~ It was great! Everyone loved it! The meringue did get a little flat- wondering if I wiped it too much or too little, so before I make it again I'll have to do some research on how long to wipe it for! One more thing- I didn't nor would I change anything about this recipe!!!

Irish Barmbrack

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
I made this for our St. Pattys dinner... For dessert. I did the recipe exact except I could not find lemon marmalade, so I used orange. I cooked this in a bundt pan on 325convection for 40 minutes. I chose a fruit mix with apples, pears, apricots, plums. TASTY. After it cooled I put a vanilla glaze on top. We all enjoyed it, even the kids. It even works for breakfast...

Cucumber-Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
this was SUPER Yummy!!! I did screw up cutting the first mango- I've always peeled my mangos (as I'm swearing)... then try cutting them. But, thank goodness for the internet actually showing me HOW to chop a mango! It was sooo easy, that I added an extra one to the mix! This Salsa was terrific, and everyone loved it!

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
I made this along side Amish Breakfast Casserole...My kids 3 & 7, love French Toast! This was easy to make... it did take a little longer to bake, then the directions say...but every oven is different. I cut out some of the bread with cookie cutters of stars, and laid those on the top. It really looked cute... and YUMMY... thanks for sharing

Amish Breakfast Casserole

COOK FOR AT LEAST 60-70 MINUTES! I've made this every X-mas morning, since 2009. I also make it on special occasions- it is DELICIOUS! We do have to cook it for about an hour every time. If there is liquid at the bottom of the dish after you cut it- that is egg, not oil, or water. When this is done cooking- there will be no liquid! TRUST me- my daughter got sick on this because we thought the liquid was water/oil- and this was after we cooked it for 50 minutes and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Garlic Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Yummy- and super easy! This made a HUGE cheese ball- we had half of one left. It was a little salty, for some reason, but the next day, it tasted awesome- tastes good with crackers, or REALLY yummy with pretzels. I also rolled mine in parm cheese, paprika, and some Mrs Dash- to give it some color- it was beautiful.

Crab Spread I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Yummy- after I started making this dish, I realized that my mother used to make this for special holiday gatherings. I used 2 packages of cream cheese, and spread it on a glass dish- then I poured on 1 bottle of the cocktail sauce, and then sprinkled on some artificial crab meat, then drizzled with some lemon juice- delicious!
