About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love making; banana nut muffins, grilled pork tenderloin, acini, stir fry, any kind of grilled fruit, chicken wings, rolls, and almost any kind of chicken. I do not deep fry things in my kitchen but am open to trying almost anything else.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving my mom's entire family gets together and everyone has their certain dishs they bring, whoever hosts that year is responsible for turkey, gravy, and stuffing. My mom always is responsible for dessert, which ends up being about 7 pies! I loved growing up and helping her make them a day or two before Thanksgiving...and then I loved eating them more than anything else that day : )
My cooking triumphs
I was really excited when I finally was able to create crispy hot wings without frying them. Also, I was very proud that recently my first batch of homemade rolls turned out amazing! I also love when I am able to make my mom's recipes as good if not better than she does.
My cooking tragedies
I absolutely can not cook white rice on the stove, I know it sounds silly but I can not do it. Without my rice cooker I would be lost. I also am not a great baker, I'm more of a "pinch of this, dash of that and hmmm why not some of this" kind of cook. Soon I would like to master the art of homemade dressing, but so far no luck.

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
Overall these were pretty good. The coffee flavor was not nearly as strong as I expected. I also imagine cutting back on sugar would work, so I may try that next time. 25 minutes was too long for my oven, they probably only needed 20-22 minutes.

Apple Crisp II
As written, this recipe is just okay. It does not need any water at all. The water actually ruins it. I also think that adding a pinch of nutmeg gives it that little something extra. With those 2 changes, this is a 5 star recipe.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole
This casserole was delicious, the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that is was a little too sweet for my taste. Next time I will reduce the amount of white sugar and I think it will be perfect.
