Lisa's Favorite Carne Asada Marinade
Tangy, nice heat and delicious. I wasn't sure how the citrus would go with the chipotle sauce but it was perfect. I was also initially a little put off with all the ingredients but I had them all in my cupboard and they were perfect together. You got hints of cumin, oregano, chipotle and citrus with each bite. I marinated a london broil which I put under the broiler for 7 mins on each side and it worked well. It was also worth it to save some of the sauce to dip the meat in after and I also poured some on the sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts I had on the side. Very flavorful and now part of the family recipe book. I think we'll try it on a pork tenderloin, too.

Bird Seed Energy Bars
Very easy to make and delicious. I packed the mixture down in the sheet cake pan and they made very nice dense bars. I didn't need to modify the recipe - it came out moist and chewy - there was no need to add extra eggs, though I did use both graham and buckwheat flours just because i had them in my cupboard. Will definitely make again.
