Easy Chili I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2013
A good start to a Chili, but of course it was a little too bland for me. I just read some of the reviews to this recipe and got alot of great ideas how to improve the taste and it worked! I will make the recipe again using this basic start to making Chili.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
I found this recipe cooked well but the salt content was way too much. Remember the dry onion soup mix already has salt, soy sauce has salt. For the amount used here for 6 I would use half the amounts of the soup mix because there is alot of juice when this is done in a slower cooker and I would reduce the soy sauce to 1 1/2 TB. I thickened the juice right in the slow cooker using Knorr Veloutine Instant Thickener which is used for brown gravies as there are no lumps guaranteed. Will make again with less saltiness. Served it with brown rice and pineapple chunks and carrots.

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
I made this cake minus using the walnuts and used a mixture of different nuts using 1/2 cup. The cake was delicious! For the icing I used 1 cup of Confectioner's Sugar, 2 TB milk and 1 tsp of vanilla.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Really great recipe. The only thing I noticed with the written version of this recipe is that it does not include with or without an option to add "chillies" which I noted from the video that Roma had said she did add for extra heat. Other than that and I love the "heat" it was really a great recipe.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
Wow - my son and my husband said it was better than the recipe on the "Bisquick" box. It was delicious and I used Bisquick because I had some left. I should have made more dumplings as there was lots of great gravy. I'll make this more often now because often times I always have chicken on hand and I don't throw anything out. Loved this one! Thank you for sharing!

Sylvia's Ribs

This recipe was a big hit at our BBQ last weekend! The only change I made was to BBQ the ribs instead of baking them. Turned out excellent! Thank you for sharing your recipe!

Funnel Cakes I

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2011
I tried these for the very first time and took the advice of the reviews, namely adding 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract. Wow, had a funnel that wasn't as large as I was hoping but heck it did the job and I got really artistic swirling and making these amazing objects and guess what after sprinkling them with icing sugar they looked phenomenal and the boys arrived and they're all gone! So if you haven't tried these yet, now's the time to show off your culinary and artistic skills! Thank you for sharing with us.

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
This was a DELICIOUS punch! I made it for my daughter's 25th birthday and it was a huge hit! No body wanted to drink anything else! I made one change and that was only to the sugar. I added one cup of sugar but next time I'll even reduce it to 1/2 cup. I also used a 2L bottle of Sprite for the lemon-lime beverage. I used the entire recipe incredients (minus less sugar) and divided in 2 extra large Ziploc bags overnight. About an hour before the guests arrived I simply let them thaw in the punch bowl. I was able to break pieces off as the gelatin makes is easy to break apart. Garnished with sliced lemons and sliced strawberries for the bowl. For those adding alcohol -- coconut rum or raspberry vodka were big hits! These go down fast so make the entire amount. I also had some left over so I simply refroze what we didn't use. Excellent recipe!

Baby Spinach Omelet

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
Glad I tried this as I was hesitant at first adding nutmeg. I was really happy I did because it was DELILCIOUS! I didn't have any spinach on hand so I used cucumber slices and it was also very tasty and had a bit of a crunch to it which I like! Thanks for sharing this recipe with All Recipes!

Pineapple Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
I made this cake with fresh pineapple and used my blender to chop it into small pieces and I only had 8 oz of it, so I decided to use a tin of mandarin slices in light syrup which made up the difference to get 20 oz of pineapple. I did not have evaporated milk and used half and half instead. The cake came out great and the glaze was perfect! Adding that tin of mandarin slices was such a hit! I'll make this one again for sure.

Carrot Cake XI

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Thank you for this recipe. This cake XI was delicious. I took some advice from the other reviews and cut down the oil by using 1/3 cup oil and 1 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce. Added 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and 1 tsp of vanilla. To give it a kick I added 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes which add even more texture to the cake. We omitted frosting it as we're trying to cut down on calories. It turned out perfectly moist and I grated my carrots using a Cuisinart shredding blade and the carrots did not require any draining at all. This cake was a good as some of the ones I've bought in gourmet shops, so I really enjoyed making this one and it was a hit. I'll make it again for sure. Thanks.

Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs

I have made this recipe several times now and everyone just loves it. It comes out crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I haven't had to chance anything on this recipe and I would recommend it highly to anyone. Great flavour and one of my family's favourites. Thank you for sharing.

Quick and Easy Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Did not change a thing on this recipe and they came out perfect. The key is to get them out when they are still relatively standing tall, otherwise expect them to drop back into the tin. This was quick and easy and everyone enjoyed them.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
I used 8 chicken thigh bone-in and used about half the butter and added no salt. I did double the curry powder and cranked my oven to 375 degree F for 65 minutes. I basted every 15 minutes and did not have to cover it at all. It came out perfect and delicious! This one's a keeper. Thanks for posting!

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
I have to say this was an easy recipe to follow and the results were very good! Aside of what is in this recipe I did add alot of my own spices and instead of using cornstarch I used Knorr Veloutine Thickener to thicken the sauce/gravy. I will make this again. Thank you.

Jasmine Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
I love Jasmine rice! One small addition which I would recommend to those who find the taste still a bit bland. Instead of water use chicken broth and you may also want to add some red pepper to add a little more colour and taste to it.
