Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Fabulous!. I followed other posters ideas and used 1 cup hot water, 2 cups Sweet Bby Ray BBQ sauce, 1 cup catsup, 2 1/2 T vinegar. Did not have any chili sauce, so added some citrus chili powder and quite a few shakes of hot sauce. Added the rest of the ingredients and added to the browned ribs in the crockepot. Cooked 2 hours on high and 4 hours on low. Juicey and tender, not greasy and great flavor. A keeper for sure!

Chicken Balsamico

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
I give it 4 stars because the time in the recipe was way off and the chicken, tho cooked through after adding about 20 minutes, was very tough and chewy. Next time(there will be a next time as the flavors were wonderful) I think I will either cube the chicken or cut in strips. It also could be pounded flat, then the cooking times would be correct. That said, I used a can of diced tomatoes instead of fresh. Otherwise, I followed the recipe. By the way, this could be cookied in the oven or crockpot and the flavors would even be better, I think.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Very, very good. I did use ground turkey, doubled the recipe and used a small can of pineapple juice instead of the lemon juice. I also added about 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs to make sure the meatballs stayed together, which they did. My husband walked in the house and said, "Mmmm, I can smell the pineapple!" We both thought they were worth keeping the recipe and rotating with other meatball recipes we love. Thanks!

Grilled Chicken Thighs Tandoori

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Fixed as written, except cooked in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, then turned and cooked for another 15. Also used boneless, skinless chicken thighs. Meat was VERY tender. My husband thought they were good, I thought they were rather bland. Next time will add more garlic and maybe a little heat, like red pepper flakes or some hot sauce. Quick and easy...thanks!

Jerre's Black Bean and Pork Tenderloin Slow Cooker Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I am rating this recipe on the changes I made to the origional recipe, but without the changes, the chili would be awesome too! I can't tolerate black beans, so added what I had(1 can great northern, 1 can red kidney and 1 can chili beans, all drained and rinsed). Sliced thin a pork loin, trimmed of fat and added a can of diced green chilies instead of green pepper, which I don't like. After it cooked for about 4 hours, I added 1/2 cup dark beer. Cooked a total of 8 hours on low, then shredded the pork strips(they were very tender and it was easy to do). The flavor was outstanding. I think next time I will try it with a can of fire roasted tomatoes. This recipe will be wonderful with multiple changes and additions and will be in my Favorites file!

Turkey Tenderloins

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Substituted cutlets for tenderloins and poultry seasoning for rosemary. Marinated in the fridge for 6 hours. Bad weather, so grilled on the George Forman. Very good flavor. Will try with the rosemary and outdoor grill in future. A keeper!

Smokey Chipotle Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
Used ground turkey instead of beef(don't eat beef). Also just used 1 T. adobo sauce and 1 chilie as I don't like firey hot. It turned out very flavorful. I will keep in my favorites for a meatloaf recipe. Thanks!

Cindy's Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Wonderful way to use up leftover turkey. I left out cilantro(can't stand it) and added 1/2 minced red onion. Also did not add salt(never do). It was very tasty. Would be terrific with chicken or tuna.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
I am giving it 5 stars because when all was said and done, it got rave reviews. I made it ahead as suggested by another reviewer. I added the broth little by little until I got the consistancy I wanted before adding all to the slow cooker. I checked after and few hours and it was turning into a soggy mess when I stirred it. I tried covering the top with foil, but that did not seem to help. I saved it by putting the lid on cross-ways and letting alot of air into it, stirring often. It dried out perfectly and was a hit. In the future, I will start out with the lid askew and adjust as needed. The flavors were great! Having limited oven and counter space, I had the crockpot in the laundry room out of the way and it worked perfectly. I will fix my stuffing this way from now on.

Tuscan Smoked Turkey-Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
This was really, really good. The smokey flavor of the turkey legs made this a very hearty soup on a cold night. Served it with garlic bread and a tossed salad. Next time I will add chicken broth as added liquid while it is cooking instead of water. I also did not add any salt as the smoked turkey added enough saltiness.

Tuna and Chickpea Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
Very light and filling. I always use tuna in water and it was still very flavorful. It really didn't even need salt and pepper as the onion added so much. Will keep in my favorites file. Thanks!

Creamy Tomato Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
If I could give this recipe a 10 rating, I would. I fixed as written and it was incredible. Of course, it is due to the butter and cream, but the flavor was outstanding. Just the right amount of heat. I definately would fix again! It will go into my favorites folder.

Campbell's® Healthy Request® Cajun Fish

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
This was good, but not fantastic. My husband called it "tasty", which is not a rave review from him. I didn't have green pepper, so added onion instead, which I prefer over green pepper anyway. Will keep it in my recipe box, but know there are better spicy fish recipes out there

Asopao de Pollo (Chicken Rice Gumbo)

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
This was oh so GOOD. I can't believe no one else has tried it. I followed the directions, but used half chicken broth and half water for the liquid and used brown rice and cooked it longer. Also used a smoked turkey leg instead of the sausage. Next time I will use boneless, skinless chicken thighs to make it easier to eat. The flavor was amazing!

Savory Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
These were kind of greasy and not much flavor. If I fex them again, I will add more spices and more salt. I did double the garlic, but it wasn't enough to improve the flavor

Pressure Cooker Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
This was good. I added a little more red pepper than called for, but will still add more. Think I would add more garlic as well. I have a digital pressure cooker and put the roast on the bottom of the pot, not a rack. It took about 35 minutes on high. The meat was very tender and juicy. Will fix again with modifications.

Masitas de Cerdo

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Fixed this as written. The marinade smells delicious and I will use it for other meats, but this dish turned out just OK. I have to say that I did not fry the pork cubes in oil...I couldn't see adding the fat calories, so I sauteed them to brown them and added the onion. I won't fix it again, as it was nothing special and there are better ways to fix a pork loin.
