Every time I bring this somewhere people say it's the best cheesecake they've ever had and they want the recipe. I make it exactly as stated other than i push the crust crumbs into the bottom and sides of the springform pan. The only time I have had this crack on me is once I tried using the mixer on it's LOWEST speed to incorporate the eggs (thinking it would be as gentle as hand mixing). I was wrong and it cracked. If you follow the recipe directions exactly and ALL ingredients are at room temperature before starting and you mix very gently by hand from the point you start adding eggs until the end of the directions then it shouldn't crack.
