Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

YUMMY cornbread. I used this to make corn dog muffins. Made according to directions then filled 12 muffin slots 2/3 full. Then sliced hotdogs and placed around 5 slices into each slot. Baked at 375 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Rich and heavy, I tried adding baking soda, salt, and vanilla the second time and it wasn't better. Flavor was still nice but dry that time.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

I made this without the extra caramel sauce. It was delicious. It would have been extra yummy with more sauce, but probably not needed. My husband would have preferred only one layer of bread but I liked it fine with two.

Red Enchilada Sauce

This is ok I tried what other reviewers suggested (More chili powder, use chicken boullions, bay leaf, and simmer for a couple of hours). There still isn't enough spice for my taste. I think I'll just keep to the enchilada sauce packet. That is a lot less time consuming and I like it.

Maryland Crab Cakes II

This was the first crab cake I have made or eaten. The four stars come from the fact that I just don't enjoy crab that much. I must be crazy. The recipe was simple. I used fresh crab and tried broiling as well as on the stove. The broiling method worked better for me. The cakes stayed together, were crunchy on the top and juicy in the middle. I will make this again. Thanks.
