Chicken and Dumplings I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
My grandma made these kind of dumplings. I have been looking for a recipe. Mom makes the ones that are like a glop of dough and my family doesn't like them. So I tried this recipe and it was perfect and family loved them. If you are looking for the kind of dumplings like they make in southern US this is the one.

Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
I made it just like the recipe called for but I took the one reviewer suggestion of using the microwave instead of the double boiler. I was looking for a lemon recipe but don't have a double boiler so I saw the suggest to use microwave and it worked great. I was so happy I could make it tonight without have to go out and buy the double boiler. Thanks for the recipe and the suggest.

Strawberry Syrup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
Great syrup and super easy. I had some frozen strawberries I wanted to use so I thawed them and then mashed. It tastes great it was a little thin but that was probably because i used the frozen instead.

Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
I love pasta but tomato gravy is hard on my stomach. I was so happy when I found this recipe. I made it for my husband and myself. He loved it and I can eat lasagna again. I didn't have frozen spinach so I used fresh that I blanched and chopped . I didn't have chicken breast so I use Italian sausage and ground beef.

Waikiki Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
We used to make this when I was a a kid whenever me and my sister wanted to cook for the family dinner. It was in one of moms old cook books which she no longer has. I have been looking all over the internet for it I was so happy to found it. It tasted the same as the one we made as kids. I like this better than other sweet and sour recipes as the sauce is more balanced between the sweet and the sour. I found most sweet and sour to sweet and not enough sour. I serve it over white rice. I make it exactly as it is written. I like to let everyone add soy sauce to their own taste. I am going to try it with chicken chunks next time instead of the meatballs.
