Stir Fried Sesame Vegetables with Rice
I thought this was fantastic. Tasted just like you would get in a restaurant. I added a bit of teriyaki sauce I had on hand to the soy sauce, but other than that I kept everything the same. Well, that's not true. I spent $6 on a jar of toasted sesame seeds just for this and in the thrill of having it made I forgot to sprinkle some on the top. Will definitely do it next time though. It can only improve the flavor I would imagine. The really great thing about this dish is you can use any spare vegetables on hand and I'm sure it'll taste great. Next time I'll add some broccoli and carrots as others have mentioned. It seems like it's a very versatile recipe.

Grilled Apple and Swiss Cheese Sandwich
This didn't do anything for me. The flavors did not "blend" as other people's did. I do not think 1/3 cup of cheese is enough, as I could barely taste it. It was just like eating an apple with bread, which is to say, nothing special. I'll stick with regular grilled cheese sandwiches and have an apple on the side.

Pumpkin Muffins II
I made these twice. The first I followed it as written and they were far far too sweet. The second time I cut the sugar down to 1 cup and it was very bland, almost like bread. Logic would say to use 1.5 cups but I don't think I'm going to bother with these a third time. Even using a fresh pumpkin the actual pumpkin flavor is very subdued. I would add more, but I fear that would throw off the balance and make the batter too wet. For what it's worth they made my house smell great both times though.
