Spiced Quinoa

Reviewed: May 10, 2014
I will be making this again with some changes. The spices are nice, they could be slightly increased. I felt there wasn't enough quinoa compared to mix-ins (especially chickpeas) so next time I will double the quinoa and broth and increase the spices as well. I used less salt and reduced sodium broth.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2013
These were great! They are very thick and fluffy. Using all whole wheat flour worked great. I also used Saco powdered buttermilk and that was fine. Subbing olive oil for the butter does not work well, however.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Yum! I used low sodium chicken broth instead of water/boullion and didn't need any extra salt (my butter was salted), added a little garlic and some carrots. I put cooked broccoli into the leftovers and it was great. I used whole milk but could have gotten away with 2% or less. Next time I'll blend up some of it to make it thicker.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
An ok basic choc chip cookie, kinda boring though. It was too .... what's the right word... cakey? dry? I prefer my choc chip cookies to have that little crisp on the edge and be chewy in the middle. If that's what you're looking for, add some sugar.

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
I replaced the applesauce with pumpkin and cut back a little on the milk but I think it was still too much pumpkin because they came out mooshy. I gave it a 5 so my mistake wouldn't drag down the rating. I'll definitely try it again though!
