Italian Wedding Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
This recipe is almost perfect. I HIGHLY recommend using margarine instead of butter. Butter makes the cookie crumbly. I also increased the powdered sugar to almost a full cup. As the others did, I decreased the salt to 1/4 teas. I have never used almonds for my cookies. I prefer walnuts, finely ground. Everyone RAVES about them. I also only used 2 1/2 teas of pure vanilla. Only cool long enough to touch and then roll in powdered sugar. Then after completely cool, roll again to make them look very pretty. Friends and Family ADORE my cookies every Christmas!

Spritz Cookies

This batter came out of the press nice but when it baked the cookies spread out and were too thin. I recommend the pampered chef recipe.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
I have been searching for an M&M cookie that doesn't come out cakey and this is it!! I did use half shortening and 1/2 real butter. They are perfect. Great at Christmas with red and green M & M's!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
After adding 1 teas. of vanilla, only 1 cup of chocolate chips instead of 2 and some chopped pecans, these cookies turned out fabulous. I used shortening like it calls for. They are chewy and very tasty. I am surprised at how many they made. These will become a staple in my house.

Apple Fritters I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Great fritter recipe. Just changed a few things. I cut up the apples into big chunks and tossed them with cinnamon sugar before adding to the batter. I also increased the amount of sugar in the batter to 1/2 cup and added a teas. of vanilla. My boyfriend went crazy for them!

Rhubarb Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
These were absolutely fantastic!! We grow rhubarb and I never thought to use it with pork chops. I didn't change a thing. Nice combo of sweet and tangy. Very easy and fast also. Served with brown rice and homemade applesauce.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
I have been looking for years for the perfect chewy chocolate chip cookie. This is it! I only changed two things. I used one stick of melted butter and 1/2 stick of margarine. Makes them not flat but still chewy and I just used 2 whole eggs instead of one egg and one egg yolk. I took them out of the oven just when they were turning brown on the edges and let them sit on the pan to finish baking when I took them out. I think these are simple to make and come out wonderful!
