About this Cook
I am a cook in bloom! I have a passion for food and it's my favorite topic of conversation. My favorite show is Good Eats. I find the recipes don't turn out for me, but it teaches me a lot and I've learned tons of fundamentals and food facts.
My favorite things to cook
I love anything that challenges my abilities and impresses the family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
SPEIDINI! orange chiffon cakes, italian cookies. I inheirted a love of cooking from my nana who is a wonderful at it and a very generous, loving person. Also, as a kid a grew up on 5 meals a day (I am not over-weight). But what i attribute that to is helping prepare most of those meals. My message is get kids in the kitchen!

Ho Ho Cake
Actually, I would have rated it a four if not for all the compliments I got on it. I would have rated it four stars because I didn’t like the filling, it tasted like Crisco. Apparently, a lot of people don’t know what Crisco tastes like because they asked what the filling was made of! I took a couple suggestions. I used devil’s food cake mix, used butter instead of margarine, creamed the filling for 10 min. and used a pasteurized egg. It turned out fine. One thing I would not skip out on is the chocolate glaze! It tasted awesome and it poured beautifully over the top. I will use that glaze recipe again for sure!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce
I liked it a lot. My kid sister liked it too, but not so much the rest of the family.
