This is an awesome pie! I did what other suggested: brushed egg whites on the bottom crust, I only used 6 Granny Smith Apples (but could have gotten away with just 5 because my pie was super mounded!), added 1 tsp of cinnamon to the apples before pouring them into the bottom crust. The thing that took the longest was the lattice top, but it made the pie so yummy it's a total MUST.
