Cindy's Coleslaw
Used with Dr. Pepper pulled pork sandwiches. Was so simple and tasted just as good or better than any other slaw I've tasted. It really made the sandwich and I felt there was nothing lacking what-so-ever. Very happy with this recipe!

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar
This was really good! I had my reservations after others comments and I was going to buy a choc. flavored powdered creamer like others suggested but forgot to adjust my grocery list so when I got home, I used half of the plain I purchased and substituted the other half with store bought cocoa mix I didn't care for at all. It was like a half a cup to a huge batch and I don't think it made that much difference but all in all, I thought it was great! I thought it had plenty of chocolate flavor and even though you do have to add a lot, which you have to with store bought too if you want it rich, it still had a richer, darker tones, more like a gormuet cocoa in a shop but it was MUCH better then what I have picked up for my kids in ANY coffee shop I've been to. I didn't think it was bitter at all and the pudding was good in it. Only downfall? The powdered milk especially was too expensive! Yikes The whole thing was spendy but still probably less then at a shop, cup for cup, and of coarse, better.

I made these rolled in four different things; nuts, choc. sprinkles and even had raisins in some. The best was the coconut and I must agree with others about not having the need for that much honey. They were very soft, too soft. I actually thought ice cream could help to firm them up. My kids love cookie dough Blizzards so next time I'll add some choc. chips and stick it in some vanilla. No raw eggs either. Bonus! Still, probably half a cup of honey, you can always add more if needed. The wheat germ was actually yummy too. Go figure. After people would comment how good they were I found it fun telling them what was actually in it and seeing their suprise. Especially the men! Tee hee My mother used to give us wheat germ OIL by the spoonful. Yuck! I can remember some rough mornings at the bus stop. Ug
