Gnocchi in Fontina Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
The flavor of this dissh was excellent! It was very rich and would be better as a side dish served with grilled chicken. The sauce would also be great over fettuccine. This was a fast and VERY easy recipe to make!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
The flavor of this banana bread deserves 5 stars. However I wasn't a fan of the banana chunks in it. It didn't make for a consisitant texture and seemed mushey where the banana chunks were. Next time I make this recipe I'll mash the bananas.

Marvelous Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
These tasty bites were a big hit! Lots of people said they tasted like they could be served in a restruant. I had some parmesan cheese on hand so I added that to the filling as well. They weren't as savory as I am used to, but none of my guests had any complants. The heavy whippnig cream kept them so moist!

Old Fashioned Paradise Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
YUM! My husband said this was the best pie he has ever tried! I doubble the recipe to make two pies, and one of my pies sank in the middle under the pecan streusel and the other did not. I'm not sure why that happened. I think that was my error and not the recipe. This is going to be my official pumpie pie recipe. I think it's amazing :)

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I made this quiche for the first time for a brunch and was a little nervous to share it not having tried it first. It turned out beautifully and got excellent reviews! I decided to use broccoli instead of spinach. For the cheese I bought Trader Joe’s brand “Quattro Formaggio”( a blend of parmesan, asiago, fontaina and mild provolone) which I used 4 oz. of . I also used Trader Joe’s brand “Lite 3 Cheese Bled” (mozzarella, monterey jack, and cheddar cheese) which I used 8 ounces of. I used fresh parsley instead of dried. I divided the recipe into two pie pans and did not have a problem with overflow. They cooked perfectly. I warmed it up for dinner the same day and it re-heated in the microwave wonderfully. I will defiantly used this recipe again and share it with others. Thank you Clark :)

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
AMAZING! This soup was so easy to make and was delicious! I found it spicy, but I think that may be becasue of the brand of chili powder I used. I garnished the soup with sour cream, tortilla strips and a avacado, tomato, cilantro, lemon juice and green onion salsa. This recipe is definately a keeper!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
Great flavor! I made this recipe for the first time for some big time lasagna fans. It got rave reviews. The Italian sasuage gave it great flavor, however I felt it was a little strong. My company loved it and thought it was perfect. I use fresh herbs instead of dried when I can.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
The flavor of this salad is nice. Using the bacon fat put me off a little, but that's probably why the flavor was so good! I served this warm, but I also enjoyed eating it cold the next day.

Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
This was my first time making yeast rolls and I'm impressed at how easy and fool proof it was! I followed the recipe word for word. The dough was sticky, but I coated my hands with non-stick spray in order to fill the muffin tins. They were delicious! I was expecting them to be a bit more dense, but they turned out light and fluffy.
