Yesterday was a fun family day.
My grandson, Nic, and I met my sister with her two grandsons and daughter in law at Incredible Pizza.
My sister’s grandchildren don't live here so it was a treat to see them.
Nic had fun playing with his big cousin, who is seven, but he wasn’t sure about his grandma holding a baby.
The food there is pretty awful but the kids had fun.
Thursday night is supposed to be date night for my husband and me and it really happened last night.
We went to see Safe House with Denzel Washington. Lots of action, car chases, blood and gore.
Just what my husband loves.
We went to Carrabba’s for dinner thanks to a late birthday gift from my wonderful employee Kristin Cast.
Yes, she is the co author of the popular “House of Night” series.
I had the fillet scampi, sautéed spinach and French green beans.
Everything was perfect.
We brought home their Chocolate Dream cake but I was still too full to eat it.
It will be great tonight.
I would love to know how Carrabba’s does their garlic in their sautéed spinach.
It’s thin slivers and browned. It really adds a nice flavor and I will have to try to make this dish at home.
Hope everyone had a nice yesterday.
