Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
This recipe has great flavor as is. The only thing I will so next time is tenderize the meat or cook it for less time. The meat really only needs a total of 2 minutes instead of 5. My meat was pretty thin so it depends. Served it over brown rice. I doubled the sauce as suggested and I definitely reccommend that.

Chicken Asparagus Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
We really enjoyed this! The only thing I did was follow others advice and added the mixture to the inside before I put the cheese on. I also recommend watching the cooking time. Mine was done after 20 minutes. Otherwise I thought the flavor was delicious. The lemon makes it.

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
Mmmmmm....used fresh garden tomatoes and good sourdough bread. My husband wasn't really keen on eating this but once he had it he said he can't wait to have it again!

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
In my opinion, it was way too mayonnaisey and oniony. My husband loved it that way and apparently most of the people at our BBQ thought it was good too. I would cut down on the mayo by at least a half a cup. Apple cider vinegar should be added to the potatoes right after cooking. Dry mustard is another thing I would like for more flavor. Also there is too much egg. The amount should be cut in half.

Easy Skillet Ravioli

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
The overall recipe is good but I didn't like the flavor of Ragu. Made with homemade sauce it would be good.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
I use this recipe for every time at I make risotto. It's perfect every time. Make sure you don't overcook it. I decrease the amount of mushrooms in the recipe only because I don't like too many of them. But I think the amount of mushrooms it's called for would be good for mushroom lovers.

Fish Fillets Italiano

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
I love this! It is so easy and delicious. It's perfect for a fast healthy meal. Over rice is my favorite because it soaks up the juices over the tomato mixture. The first time I made this, I didn't use black olives but I will next time. It looked so good without. I'm sure I'll like it both ways. *update* yes, it's good with olives. I use the Italian diced tomatoes as others suggested and it comes out perfect.

Sesame Seared Tuna

Perfect and easy recipe! I cook it longer per side just for a matter of personal taste. Wouldn't change a thing.

Almond Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
Yum! I can't wait to have it again. I didn't candy the almonds because I don't like candied nuts and it was still perfect. Dressing was delicious and counterbalanced the sweetness of the cranberries.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
Perfect flavor for tilapia! I cooked it exactly as stated and it came out perfect. The time was right on also, it was perfectly juicy. My butter wasn't really soft enough, next time I think melting it more would help, but it didn't make a difference for the final result.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
Wondefful recipe! I did change just a few things according to other's reviews. I did sauté garlic first before adding chicken. I also doubled the sauce but next time I will quadruple it so there will be enough to put over pasta. My husband and I love sauce. Otherwise, I cooked it exactly as written, leaving the chicken in while mushrooms cooked. I think this added more flavor to the chicken. I also don't think it needs any extra flour to the sauce. The sauce was thick enough without it.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
Yum! I usually make the slow cooker chicken from this site and use the left over chicken the next day for this. I love this the way it is but my husband thinks it's missing something, so I now add black beans.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
A good basic beef stew recipe. I made a few changes to it to make it to my taste. I just add the meat and flour into the slow cooker without sauteing it. I don't add celery (just don't like it). Then I also add a can of Hunt's petite diced tomatoes. I then add a can of corn at the end just to heat it (depending on the mood, it's either a small or a large can). Comes out delicious with these changes/additions.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
This was very good, just like the name says. I made my own sauce and used that in place of the one here although it is very close. The one thing I learned from this experience is to make sure you get good sausage. I used just a regular grocery store sausage and it was too grisly. Buy the good stuff!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
Perfect just the way it is! My husband raved about it and wanted me to save this one. That rarely happens. The one thing though is to make sure the cabbage is cooked well before trying to roll. If it isn't, the leaves break. It needs more like 4-5 minutes.

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
Surprisingly good! I wasn't sure about the ingredients but it worked out well and had a lot of flavor. I used the Italian Seasonings packet and mixed the ingredients for it in the slow cooker (made with white vinegar and canola oil). I added all the ingredients except the cream cheese at the beginning with the chicken breasts. At the end, I did like the recipe said and added the cream cheese and let it cook for an hour. Served over egg noodles and it was great. I think the egg noodles is the perfect pasta match for this.

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
This was delicious. I didn't add scallops because I don't really like them. I added a little balsamic vinegar to the sauce to sweeten and deepen the flavor. My husband and I loved it!

Seafood Mocequa

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
This is absolutely delicious! It's one of our favorites. I do make a little more broth sometimes if I want to add rice. I'll make Jasmine rice separately, then add a couple tbps full to each bowl.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
Yum!! This was so delicious. I did make a few changes because I love tomatoes roasted. I roasted fresh tomatoes at 350 for 1 hour with olive oil and Italian seasonings. The only other thing was I used fresh basil instead of dried, so I doubled the amount. Everything else I followed exactly. I found that if I use canned tomatoes, I need to drain them first.
