Ok, so I have issues. I can deal with that. Now I have more, so,,,,oh well, anyway I need some help (obviously). The help I am interested in is what to rename my whistling teapots. Don't laugh, (I heard that), some of you name your appliances, oh yes you do, so I want new names for my 4 little darlings. First we have (Fisherina), she said she really doesn't like her name and wants something classier. Next we have (Mooabella), again, not happy with the name and willing to change. Then we have (Mr. Brooster), again not thrilled and finally (Flowerine), so picky. So I need some help, again obviously to change the names of my friends to better suit their personalities. They all "sing" beautifully to let me know that my water is heated just perfectly for tea. Any and all ideas will be considered. The grand girls will be the final judges, probably, well, maybe, we'll see. And here they are in no particular order. Thanks again for the help.

Aren't they adorable!

Sep. 1, 2012 9:37 pm
I wanted to collect something "different" for my kitchen. I think these fit the bill, but if you see any around that might want to join my herd, please let me know. They must be a little,,umm, original or unique in some way. They will be welcomed. They must be "singers". I have quite a choir here.
Sep. 1, 2012 9:39 pm
Patty, I am not sure "rooster" would like to be called "Ta Lu La". ;)
Sep. 1, 2012 10:51 pm
Those are so darn cute! I was thinking Bubbles, Daisy, Windy, (thought the flowers looked like they were bent by the wind.) Finally, Rowdy.
Sep. 1, 2012 11:28 pm
Oops, wanted to put down a second name for rooster..."Early."

Sep. 3, 2012 6:45 am
Cute, I can see the hubby now when I ask him to get Eeny down from the cupboard so I can use it. He will look at me with the "what in the heck?" look in his eye and be thinking, "Yes, it's finally time to put her in the nursing home I've been considering for her".

I like Patty Cakes idea for rooster - "Cogburn"
Sep. 6, 2012 3:54 pm
Ok, we have decided that rooster will be named "Cogburn". You have to know John Wayne movies to understand this. Fish will be "Ariel". Bird, flower pot will be "Flora". Black and white will be "Clarabell". Thank you for all your ideas.
Sep. 6, 2012 4:59 pm
Perfect names...all of them. I especially like Cogburn :)
Sep. 6, 2012 6:12 pm
ibbz, love the names you chosen. I love the name Clarabell in general. That is darling.
Sep. 6, 2012 7:26 pm
I like it! Those tea pots are beautiful!
Sep. 6, 2012 7:34 pm
What a fun blog! You named them perfectly. Now will you ever use them or just look at them? (Haha) They're too pretty to use.
Sep. 7, 2012 6:34 am
I am glad you liked some of the names I suggested. I like all the names you finally decided on!
Sep. 7, 2012 7:28 am

Sep. 7, 2012 10:44 am
Your hubby might send you to Petey to live on the "Funny Farm." Love the names!
Sep. 7, 2012 1:25 pm
Great choices on the names ibbz!
Sep. 7, 2012 1:35 pm
He keeps threatening to send me to "The Place" but he really isn't telling me much about it except the walls are nice and soft,,soft? HMMM.
Sep. 7, 2012 2:06 pm
A nice soft blue perhaps? Maybe a soothing pink? I ask him, he just smiles and smiles.
Sep. 7, 2012 5:58 pm
Ok, it is getting a little creepy. The whole smile thing is creeping me out.
Sep. 8, 2012 1:10 pm
I love it, ibbz. By the way, i just did a search on amazon and they have giraffe, ladybug, zebra, duck, honeycomb, elephant, and strawberry whistling tea kettles. :)
Sep. 8, 2012 2:51 pm
Oh, really! I want them! Wait, the hubby said it was the tea kettles or him?? HHMMMM. What was that addy again? I sure will miss him while drinking my tea ;)
Sep. 8, 2012 3:22 pm
Whoa! I did not pay that much for my kettles. I am a "rummager" I found my kettles at rummage sales, poor things they were being dismissed as additions to the families. I took them in and have given them a good home. However,,,I didn't pay more than $5 for any of them. Ok, except one. Flora was my big ticket item, she was $10 but looked so lonely in that box in the garage. I'll keep on the look out for more "orphans".

About Me
My name is Deborah, please call me Debbie. I've been married for over 36 years to the same man. We have 2 children (girl and boy) and 2 grand daughters, one from each child. At the moment we have a gecko and a cat as housemates.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking fried chicken in my cast iron pans. Any type of pasta dish is always a happy cooking time. I enjoy cooking fish and shrimp whenever possible. My family also enjoys my cornbread, biscuits, beans and greens, they eat almost every bite, so I know they like them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family insists that I make my "famous" potato salad for Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, actually any time is good for them.
My cooking triumphs
A castle cake w/moat for my grand daughter's 7th birthday made of Rice Krispies, frosting and a ton of toppings. It stood over a foot tall with the towers on top. She loved it, that is what matters to me.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making "meat muffins" and the fat from the ground pork overflowed the muffin tin, dripped on stove and caught fire, which in turn caught the meat on fire, which in turn caught the towel that I was holding while trying to get the pan out of the oven on fire, which in turn caught my pants on fire when I dropped it, which in turn burned my hand and arm when I tried to retrieve it, then I had to pay the landlord extra for the burned spot on the tile in the kitchen. I don't make meat muffins any more.
