So, hubby dear says to me, "I know you are talking about me on that place you go on the computer". Me says, "Yes, as a matter of fact I do, because I love you". He looks at me and knows,,, He says, "Well, I have a few things to say about you too you know". I look at him, he at me,,,a minute passes and I say,,"OK, you tell me what to say to my friends and I will post it". He says, "What does post mean"? Did I fail to mention that this man isn't exactly computer literate? I mean, he keeps asking me where the phone with the cord is? I've gotten him a cell phone, which he constantly forgets to take with him! Ok, back to the subject. I tell him that what he says, I type and everybody sees what I type! He got it,,yeah. He can hook up any computer but can't even figure out how to turn it on! He says, "I like almost everything you cook, but you scare me when you cook". OK, I say, waiting for an explanation. He says "I like to watch you cook, but, you use sharp knives and cut yourself a lot". Ok, he is right, he bought me the sharpest knives known to man and yes, I am a little accident prone. Right now I only have 4 cuts on my hands from cooking recently. He says, "You look really nice cutting and chopping stuff, but all the time I am expecting to have a severed limb show up in my food". Well, until that last little bit I was thinking about trying really hard to be more careful, but,, if he waits to check the food, instead of me screaming in the kitchen because I cut off a limb, I think we have a problem Houston. I am trying to enclose some of the pictures of food I have cooked recently, but since all I have at the moment is a cell phone, pics aren't very good.

Ibbz, I just have to say that when I read about your cooking tragedy with the meat muffins, it made me laugh so hard that I had to read it aloud to my husband! Sorry you got hurt (and had to pay to fix the floor), but you did a great job writing that paragraph. Poor you!

I do have a sweet, lovable, clueless hubby,,can't resist that kind of charm. Man, those meat muffins still bring bad memories, every time I see a muffin tin,,,there that memory is! I have made good sweet muffins, just stay away from the meat, bad, bad, meat muffins!

Husbands have a way of saying the sweetest things in the most awful manner. And it seems they all do it....maybe they are taught how as a father to son tradition?

My guy blogging is a very scary thought, lol!

My hubby in the kitchen with these sharp knives and the only culinary skill he has to make an easy over egg, if he uses the right nonstick pan! What new form of heCC would this be

Ahhhh, I so know where you are coming from. Do you know anything about baking eggs?
Feb. 11, 2012 7:45 pm
Yes, have heard about but not tried the baked eggs. My hubby is such and old bas"" about some things. The way his mama did or no way..argh

Caroline, same here, but he would have to go to the "dinks are us" website to actually get on a site. It might actually be funny to watch him try to get on puter. Again, my bad, not that I am that much forward of him. But I do pay bills, buy stuff. HMMM, maybe, oh, well, thaat is in the future.

About Me
My name is Deborah, please call me Debbie. I've been married for over 36 years to the same man. We have 2 children (girl and boy) and 2 grand daughters, one from each child. At the moment we have a gecko and a cat as housemates.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking fried chicken in my cast iron pans. Any type of pasta dish is always a happy cooking time. I enjoy cooking fish and shrimp whenever possible. My family also enjoys my cornbread, biscuits, beans and greens, they eat almost every bite, so I know they like them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family insists that I make my "famous" potato salad for Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, actually any time is good for them.
My cooking triumphs
A castle cake w/moat for my grand daughter's 7th birthday made of Rice Krispies, frosting and a ton of toppings. It stood over a foot tall with the towers on top. She loved it, that is what matters to me.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making "meat muffins" and the fat from the ground pork overflowed the muffin tin, dripped on stove and caught fire, which in turn caught the meat on fire, which in turn caught the towel that I was holding while trying to get the pan out of the oven on fire, which in turn caught my pants on fire when I dropped it, which in turn burned my hand and arm when I tried to retrieve it, then I had to pay the landlord extra for the burned spot on the tile in the kitchen. I don't make meat muffins any more.
