Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
I made these last month and I used the frosting submitted by another reviewer, and they were perfect! The cupcakes were nice and moist and friends said they were better than the regular Hostess Cupcakes! I found that using a plastic syringe to insert the frosting from the top of the cupcake is much easier than filling it from the bottom. I poked a hole in the top of the cupcake, filled it with icing using the syringe, and then frosted the cupcake. Great recipe!

Katrina's Best-Ever Chocolate Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
UGH. I don't know what happened, but I did what another reviewer suggested, and substitued half the butter for applesauce...it was awful! The brownies were in the oven for over half an hour and just wouldn't cook all the way. =/ Not the best recipe for brownies...

Honey Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
These are amazing! I made them for my friend who has limited things he can eat (can't have flour, milk or wheat!) and so I used rice flour instead. They are a lovely, cake-y type cookie that goes great with coffee or tea :) My friend LOVED them. In fact, hiw wife "stole" the recipe from me and has made them 3 times in the past month! :)

Emily's Excellent Taco Casserole

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
Yum. I've made this twice in the past 2 weeks. Leftovers are iffy since the chips are already a little soft at that point, but all in all, a good way to use spare ingredients :) Thanks!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Fabulous recipe! I had never made a bundt cake before, and I wanted to make one for my upcoming birthday. I made this over the weekend for a party and everyone loved it. It was very moist (not too much, just right) and chocolatey. Wouldn't change a thing. And yes, I am making this again for my birthday - I had so many requests I just couldn't refuse :) Two thumbs up! NOTE: I did not make the Satiny Chocolate Glaze for this cake. Instead, I sprinkled the top with powdered sugar. It presented beautifully just the same. :)

YUM YUM YUM! Thank you very much for submitted this recipe. I hadn't made a cream cheese frosting before, but I needed it to ice red velvet cupcakes. This was perfect and very easy and quick to make!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I just make this cake tonight and I only had to bake it for about 35 minutes. It's wonderfully moist and perfect. I didn't put the nuts on top just due to personal preferences. I would definately make this again!

Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

I made these last night and they are AMAZING! I used butter instead of margarine and only baked them for about 12 minutes. Definately making these again!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
One word: AMAZING! I iced half the batch, and left the rest plain with no icing. Honestly,I could have it either way! I've never made pumpkin cookies before and when I saw the "batter", I was a little skeptical. It didn't look like it would be cookie-shaped at all! But, needless to say, after 14 mins in the oven, they came out perfectly moist and chewy. YUM! perfect for fall.

Potato Chowder Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I'll admit, this was pretty good. After I read the other reviews, I also cooked the potatoes, carrots and celery in chicken broth. Yummy! I think I might have slightly scalded the flour mixture, but thats my own fault. I'll try and be more careful next time. I also added some pepper to the soup. Mmmm.

Delicious! After reading reviews, I also melted the white chocolate on the stove in a double boiler. I didn't want to chance burning it in the microwave.

Decadent Raspberry Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
These are excellent! I made them for Valentine's Day and they were a huge hit! The combination of the unsweetened chocolate in the brownie and the semi-sweet chocolate in the frosting is a perfect combo, especially with the raspberry jam. I would definately make these again!

Oven Omelet

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
Very tasty! I'd never made anything like this before, and was wary of using all those eggs. It came out perfectly! Next time, to cut back on fat/calories/cholestorol, I will probably use 4 egg whites and 4 eggs. :) Otherwise, no changes needed! Yummy and even good as leftovers!

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Yummmmmmy! I made the cranberry-orange scones last night as well as the chocolate-chip scones. I've never made scones and these were simple and easy to make. I'm not really sure why people think its a lot of work to make them - I don't have a food processor and mine came out just fine. NOTE: I suggest you use a "light-colored" baking sheet to bake these on. I used a dark-colored sheet the first batch and the bottoms came out dark. The next batch I used a light bottom baking sheet and they were perfect!

Vegan Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
These are AMAZING. I can't get enough! This recipe was so easy to make and the cupcakes are wonderful. I didn't even frost them, I was so impatient to try one :) The frosting suggested does sound good though - I'll try that next time. Wouldn't change a thing about these. YUM YUM YUM!
