About this Cook
I'm a single guy living in Japan. Pretty much a self-taught cook. Keep in mind when you look at my recipes that I don't have access to an oven and I don't really use measurements, just do most of it by eye.
My favorite things to cook
Spicy chicken, yakisoba, spaghetti.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up I would watch my grandmother as she cooked and she would rarely use measuring tools, so that bad habit (or good depending on how you look at it) is all her fault.
My cooking triumphs
Coming up with my spicy chicken recipe. I now make it at least once a week.
My cooking tragedies
Lately, I seem to have a lot of trouble cooking eggs. Don't know why because I used to be great at it.

Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce
This turned out amazing. Since I live in rural Japan, I don't have access to Greek yogurt so I just used plain yogurt and added some lemon juice and white pepper to it (taken from another recipe) and it tastes almost as good as actual tzatziki.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole
I was wondering what to make for dinner tonight and found this recipe. Fortunately, I had all the ingredients necessary and it turned out great! Will definitely add this to my regular rotation of recipes.

Honey Grilled Chicken
This is mainly a response to the person who commented about the use of an indoor grill. I'd say the problem is using the George Foreman grill. If you want to grill indoors, I recommend using a small grill that's held over a gas stove. I used this for grilling and the chicken turned out great.
