Tartar Sauce I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
Yep, this is what I was looking for! Easy, quick, and all ingredients on hand. Plus the taste is what I had in mind. What's not to love? Thanks for posting!

Vanilla Wafer Cake IV

Reviewed: May 28, 2013
I put this in a 9x13 because I was afraid of the bundt pan. I think I should not have been afraid, as the entire cake was 'sliding' around in the pan! It had a good flavor with the coconut and the nuts.

Ramen Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 28, 2013
My husband liked the nuttiness of the recipe, and I liked the ease to put together. The dressing had a nice flavor. Thanks.

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
Made as stated, and the beef was as tender as any I've made! After letting it rest for 15 - 20 minutes, I didn't even have to hold onto it with a fork to slice it. Wonderful! I added the spice packet, but feel it could be a bit more flavorful (could have been the brand of the corned beef). May try changing up the liquid a bit next time (beer or broth), or adding additional pickling spices to the broth. Thanks for posting!

Hot Vanilla

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
I'm sorry, I REALLY wanted to like this. Even mixing the cinnamon and sugar together resulted in TOO much cinnamon floating on top (and I like cinnamon).

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
I had Chai latte at the bakery/coffee shop down the street from me, and I was hooked. I wanted to be able to make it myself (budgets, you know). This mix is just terrific! Just the flavor I was looking for. I made 1/4 of a batch just to check the flavor without a huge investment. It was just what I was looking for. Even hubby (who hadn't had chai before) loved it. Thanks!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
By far my son's favorite! When he was little, he wasn't a fan of finding onions in his food, so I would grate the onions. It still smelled and tasted great, and he loves them still!

Enchiladas Suizas

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2004
These enchiladas are excellent. These were far superior to the ones we get at our favorite restaurant! These are now a regular item in our house. We made them vegetarian, using tempeh, but they would also be good with only cheese. The only change I made was to add more raw onion in the filling of the enchilada, and use flour tortillas.

Pistachio Cream Cheese Fingers

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2003
I love the flavor of pistachio, and these cookies captured it very well. However, they are a very cakey cookie, and that is not my preferrence. They dough was very sticky to work with. I will keep looking.

Butterhorns

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
This recipe is very easy. The texture of the rolls was great. This is my first time trying a 'refrigerator dough', and I was very pleased with the results. I used instant yeast instead of the cake. The flavor was just a little too sweet for me.

Cottage Cheese Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2002
As a fairly novice vegetarian, this recipe is great 'comfort' food. Thanks, Mary Ann, for sharing it, and to all reviewers for the great suggestions (e.g. 1 C additional cereal, increase bake time to 1 hour, additional onions, etc.).

Asparagus Cashew Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2002
I've been using this recipe for a few months and I like it more every time I make it. I use at least double the amount of asparagus, and increase the amount of cashews. I've taken it to picnics and potlucks, as it is just as good at room temperature as it is hot off the stove. Our family loves this recipe!

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2002
A good, easy recipe. I agree with previous reviews - heat the fillings before assembling (it didn't heat all the way through even after 50 minutes), and add onions and/or other seasonings. This recipe is a 'regular' now.

I substitute all cranberries for the raisins and the result is a moist, delicious bread.
