About this Cook
I am a mother of 2 great kids. One is a teenager heading off to college and the other is barely a teenager yet! We love food at my house and I love to cook. I try to prepare healthy meals and love to encorporate many spices and vegetables in them. It makes me happy see people enjoy my food, especially when I have made healthy options taste delicious.
My favorite things to cook
Too many things to list really! It all depends on the season. In the summer it's all about the grill. Fish and scallops on the grill has been something I have accomplished quite well. I found the marinades for them on here and people rave about them. I also love to prepare guacomole, salads, and all things that are chilled for the hot summer months in Maine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Living in Maine it is all about the seafood. I live roughly an hour from the coast so fresh off the boat seafood is readily available. In all honesty, my sister has to cook my lobster for me. I am way to squeamish but LOVE the taste!
My cooking triumphs
The first time I started baking I was 9 years old. I surprised my parents by baking them mini apple tarts when they were not home. I got scolded when they came back but once they both had one they started letting me cook on my own. Supervised of course! :o)
My cooking tragedies
While cooking my first Thanksgiving dinner I was one of those cooks who you guessed it, left the giblets in the turkey by accident. Needless to say, I knew that would be a very memorable Thanksgiving.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower
Excellent recipe! Simple and delicious! My family was weary of this but after they tried it they liked it as much as I do. Wouldn't change a thing with this recipe. It is PERFECT!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili
This truly is by far the best chili recipe ever. I love thick chili and that's what this is. I do add more beans and I use ground turkey to make it more healthy. I also add 1 small jar of tomato paste for the nutrients. I will add craisins to my little pot of it because I love the sweetness alongside the hot. Sounds crazy but it is delish! I make this quite a bit and all I can say is that I probably will make it tonight because now am having a HUGE craving!

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich
Um...YUM!!!! This is one of the best sandwiches EVER. The flavors just mesh together so perfectly you just want more and more. I didn't change a thing in this recipe and it turned out deliciously delightful!
