City Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
Was way to salty for me. The mixture in the bag clumped up & I had to finish off in a bowl. Will not be making again.

Stir-Fried Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
This was great, i thought it might be a bit bland but it was perfect. I added a bit more oil at the end of cooking to help the minute rice texture as someone else advised, thanks.

Best Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
I altered this recipe to my liking. I used whole wheat "plus" mission tortillas (the brand name) & i used gerbhardt refried beans, they dont have alot of additives, just beans, water & salt. I put a touch of olive oil in a frying pan and added the beans, med-hi heat and add a dash of cumin and salt. I also would never use american cheese, i agree with others that it is not right for this. I added onions, cheddar & sour cream. I served with Fresh tomato salsa i found here.

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2014
Me & my Husband loved this. We omitted the beef, and I coated the pasta with one cup of sour cream as another suggested. I would not skip this step as it made it stay moist I believe. I used one jar of organic sauce instead of two, This was great but may use one and half next time as it dried out just a bit after a few days. It last several days and we loved it as leftovers for dinner & lunch. This is going on the regular meal list. I may make a half recipe in a smaller pan since it is just the two of us eating it all. Loved it!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
I made this for Thanksgiving. My Husband and relatives loved it but I thought it was to spicy. I added more sauce as some suggested so maybe that was the problem. Next time I will follow the recipe exactly to see it this helps.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
I agree that this recipe is fine with 2-3 serrano & maybe a jalepeno. 5 serrano is way to hot. I also put this in my food processor to make it more like a salsa & less like pico. I add a pinch or two of cumin and 2 garlic cloves. The best salsa i have ever had, thank you!

Double Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2014
This would have been a good pudding or parfait recipe but not for a pie. I made it exactly as the recipe called for and it tasted wonderful but even after letting it set and refrigerating it, it wouldn't cut like a pie should and basically melted. I am glad I didn't take this to my in-laws for the holidays. Like I said good pudding but not for pie! Me & my husband ate it with spoons.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
This has become a staple menu item in my home. I make the "rub" as I call it in a small container and cover one decent size whole chicken, put it in an oven bag and cook on 250' for 2-3 hours and it is fall apart tender and tastes devine. I also sprinkle the "rub" on skinless thighs and cook @ 375' for 15-20 minutes for a quicker but still delicious meal. If you dont like spicy you may want to lessen the red pepper (cayenne). Also for a healthier recipe use less salt. I keep it as is and do half sea salt and half regular.

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Very good, beware if you don't like spicy i would suggest to cut the pepper in half or just leave it out. I loved it as is. I cubed two chickens breast and let it simmer about 20-25 minutes. Will try with dark meat soon, Thanks i love it!
