Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2014
Oh my goodness - perfection! I followed the recipe exactly, heeding the following advice from reviewers: freeze pb cups after unwrapping, bake for only 8 minutes (my mini muffin pans are black, so I decreased the oven temp to 350), cool until the middles "sink" before putting the pb cups in the middle. Best peanut butter cookies ever!

Creamy Cheddar Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
This was so easy and so delicious! I threw in some cooked shell-shaped pasta at the end and my (very picky) 6 and 9 year olds loved it! I did use low fat, low sodium chicken broth, onion powder to eliminate the blending (and because my kids would never try it if they saw me putting chopped onion in it) and used a can of condensed milk mixed with skim to equal 3 cups. Will make again and again trying some other add-ins.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2012
Delicious and fresh-tasting - perfect for a hot summer day. Next time I will add a little more garlic and hot sauce, to counter some of the sweetness, which was too much for my meat and potatoes hubby. I served these with the Ginger Cabbage Salad on this site. Perfect!

Horseradish Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
This made delicious, moist pork chops! The topping was creamy and the horseradish flavor was mild, not harsh. Based on other reviews, I did layer some sliced onions on the bottom of the pan, season the pork with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and decreased the cooking time to 35 minutes at 350 and 5 minutes under the broiler.

Lemon Orzo Primavera

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
This is a good recipe, but a little bland as written. I have made it many times, in many variations, my favorite being the following: substitute broccoli for zucchini, add a pinch of salt and onion powder with the vegetables, use chicken broth instead of vegetable broth, and add the juice of the lemon in addition to the zest. Delicious!

Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
I just made this to try before I serve it for Easter dinner - not only will I serve it, but I'll have to triple the recipe because it is so good! My husband (who has always refued to even try asparagus) ate a whole bowl and scraped the sides. I followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious - smooth and creamy and rich. It was a bit salty, so next time, I will use sodium free chicken broth. Another plus is that it was very easy to make. Thanks for the recipe MARBALET!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Had this for dinner tonight - it was very tasty. I did use low-sodium soup, chicken broth instead of water, and added 1t granulated garlic, but otherwise followed the directions as written. Next time, I think I'll only use 1 can of biscuits though. Thanks for a great EASY recipe!

Zucchini Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
This was a delicious dish! I did add extra garlic - 4 cloves instead of 2 - and about one-half of a medium onion. The fresh basil gave it such a great flavor. I salted the zucchini as it cooked to draw out some of the liquid, and salted again before serving. What a creative use for all the zucchini we have right now!

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
Absolutely delicious! Moist, sweet, and held together well. The only changes I made were to use chocolate chips instead of nuts and increase cooking time - added 10 minutes, then five more with the oven off. Thanks for a new favorite way to use ripe bananas!
