About this Cook
I am a wife and a stay at home mommy to a 1 year old. I was always a horrid cook and I was scared to try again, but I did and things are turning out pretty good around here!
My favorite things to cook
Quick and easy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I still make mashed potatoes the way my mom did them and I have started to TRY to get my grandma's chicken and dumplings recipe better. They didn't write recipes down in the good ole days!
My cooking triumphs
The first time I cooked fish and it turned out marvelous!
My cooking tragedies
I once made a chicken casserole that my dog would not eat and believe it or not, I burned water :)

Pork Steaks
These were really good! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because there was no temp listed so I kinda had to wing it. And for someone that needs the specifics to cook anything (usually) these still turned out good, but I had my heat a little high

Mexican Goulash
This was a quick and easy dish, just what I was looking for tonight. I made one change: instead of salsa and Velveeta, I added 3/4 of a jar of 23oz Tostito's queso dip. My 13 month old ate it up!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos
Wonderful recipe and easier than I expected. I did miss read the directions where it reads "stir in beans and mash" I thought it meant to add the mashed potato. So.. it was a bit watery and the beans were not mashed, but my husband (the dedicated carnivore) loved this dish and I can see myself cooking it once or twice a month.
