Indian-Style Rice with Cashews, Raisins and Turmeric

This is a super easy recipe to make and it was very tasty, although the flavour wasn't super strong (which I liked but some people might want to add more tumeric or something). The only thing with my recipe, is that it took about 40 minutes to cook (and the recipe called for 20). It's a great recipe and I will for sure make it again!

Tofu Parmigiana

Really tasty & easy to make..my only problem is the frying of the breaded tofu didn't work for me but that's my own issue (I can never do it lol)! Delish and will make again!

Sweet Potato Bread I

These were super easy to make and tasted really good. I had no white sugar so I used 1 cup of brown sugar and I ommited the nuts because I didn't have any at home & I used muffin trays instead of bread pans- with these changes they were still so good. I will definitely make them again and next time I will add the nuts.

Breaded, Fried, Softly Spiced Tofu

My husband made this for me tonight & it was delicious and he said it was easy to make. We think the same batter/mix would be great on chicken also. Next time we thought we might bake it and not fry, but it was delicious!

Soft Chocolate Cookies

5 stars definitely...super easy to make and tastes great. I never let the dough sit in the fridge and it was still really easy to handle and form so I don't think you need to do that step. I did a few with mint extract and those were good too. Next time (when I have ice cream) I am going to make ice cream sandwiches with them...so good :) Will make again.

Microwave Popcorn

I was scared to do this because I thought the paper bag would light on fire lol. But this worked really well. I followed the recipe exactly and stood the bag up (and not lied it on its side). The recipe didn't say anything about the bag positioning but other people said to stand it up. It worked really well, tasted great and was super easy to do. Will definitely do again.

Mock Coconut Pie (Spaghetti Squash Pie)

What a crazy thing! This was so good but like most others, I was very skeptical, especially because I don't usually like squash (unless it's disguised). This was a super easy recipe to make and it tasted good too! I will definitely make it again. I only had 1 cup of squash so I just made a small batch of this (using a 3rd of everything - 1 egg, etc) and it worked fine - it was small but just for 2 people so it was fine. I also didn't have crust stuff so I put it in a dish and had it more like a casserole/pudding...I will definitely make this again but not sure if I will do the crust - it was delicious without!

Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

The star thing on this review is not working but if it were I would give this recipe 5 stars. It was really tasty and I don't even like squash! I made it once following this recipe and than I made it once using jarred tomato sauce, olives and the cheeses - it was a lot easier this way than making my own sauce and I really liked how it tasted. I will make it again but using the jarred sauce. It is an easy recipe to make.

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

OMG - soooo good! I am not usually the cookie maker in our house (my husband does it) but I made these and they were delicious and easy to make - I took the advice of another person who wrote a review and added some cinnamon and ground cloves - so good. I cooked them exactly for 11 minutes, then left them on the sheet for 5, then transferred them to the wire rack - delicious, will make again! If I had nuts, I might add them for next time.

Glazed Almond Bundt Cake

This cake was really good even with my substitutions...I didn't have almonds so I just used almond extract for both the cake & glaze (& not real almonds). For the cake, instead of using vanilla I used almond instead (so it about double almond extract than it called for). I also only had multigrain/wheat flour and not white flour and the cake still worked out really well! The glaze I found really sweet so I added some water and watered it down a bit...maybe next time I would leave out the sugar and just do the almond extract not sure - and I heated my glaze on the stove. It was a good cake and I will definitely make it again. It didn't stick to the pan either and was easy to get out.

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

This was a very tasty recipe, didn't need to alter it at all HOWEVER..holy it took forever to cook like the others said...over 2hours at 350 degrees and it still could have cooked even more..I will make this again but cook or boil the potatoes maybe a bit before. Definitely will make it again though - delicious!

This was excellent and easy to make...very delicious...I only had the baking cocoa powder and not hot cocoa mix, so that's what I used and it was excellent...have already made it 2 nights in a row.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

These are very tasty and easy to make even for me, a non-baker (I bake a little but nothing fancy). My only thing (which is why I gave it 4 stars only) is that the crumbly top didn't all bake - some of it still looked like raw flour and sugar but the muffin part was cooked so I couldn't bake them any longer...I think for next time maybe I'd put less topping on it...they tasted delicious though!

Creamy Mashed Potatoes II

I used this recipe as a base...I dumped butter, cream cheese, sour cream (and then later more sour cream) and ranch salad dressing (in liquid form, not dry mix) in with the potatoes...I ended up dumping some Italian seasoning (dry mix) in as well because I felt it needed more flavour. It did the trick! I mashed with a masher and then used a beater/mixer...it was delicious! No need to really measure as I went by taste.

Classic Thanksgiving Dressing With Parsley, Sage and Thyme

This was good! I used crutons/bread cubes because I was lazy to use the real french loaf. It worked well but I will probably use the bread next time. I made one batch and then split it, one using veggie stock and then 1 using chicken (so vegetarians could eat it). It was pretty good. I had never made stuffing before so I was impressed.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

This was great!! I gave it 4 stars though because I too did what it seemed like a lot of other people did: rubbed the outside of the bird with pepper and salt (I used seasoning salt), and olive oil and lemon juice and rosemary then stuffed the inside with onions, the squeezed lemons I had used, 2 garlic cloves and some more rosemary. I dumped a cup of chicken broth over it and then cooked for 2 hours on 350. I have never made a whole chicken and this was great and super easy! There was enough drippings for gravy too. Will make again for sure!

Deviled Eggs II

Good devilled eggs, but maybe not the best I've ever had...I did like the "zip" that the vinegar gave to them though...I often add relish and I think I like that better so next time I'll do this recipe but add some relish...also I added quite a bit more mayo because I like it creamy. Good recipe though and super easy!
