Easy Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
My mom and dad made many pies and cobblers, one making the crust, the other the filling. When it was Dad's turn to make the crust, he always used this recipe. But he went one better - he reserved some of the mixture (about the size of a golf ball). He then used a grater to spread the reserved dough over the filling before baking. Great topping for a fruit pie!

Vegetarian Stuffed Poblano Peppers

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I served these with Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup for a vegetarian meal. They were the right sort of dish, but were just so-so. If I made them again, I'd make a more substantial filling with rice, onions, etc.

Mystery Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I agree with a previous reviewer that this was a bit tart and the lemon pudding taste was too prominent. Even though I gave the recipe only 3 stars, I like the idea of such a refreshing salad that can be made early in the day and will try it again with a different flavor pudding.

Christmas Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
This was OK, but not special enough to make again. Since my son is a vegetarian, I used soy bacon - maybe that made a difference, although no one complained. It seemed like there were too many potatoes and the egg mixture wasn't enough to soak through them, even though I did assemble the casserole the night before.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I fixed these for Christmas morning. I used one loaf of frozen bread and 1/2 recipe of glaze (it was still too much for my family). I will definitely make these again.

Grilled Salmon With Orange Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
Easy enough for every day; special enough for company. I made the glaze (less than called for, as suggested in other reviews) several days prior to serving, and baked the salmon about 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
