About this Cook
I decided it was time to learn to cook after getting engaged. My first few meals were disastrous, but my husband and his then-roommate suffered through them kindly. Three years, a wedding, a college graduation, a new job, a move to Florida, a dog, a house, a motorcycle, and one unfortunate jalapeno incident later.. I'm starting to hold my own in the kitchen, and even more than that, I'm really enjoying it!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking... so pretty much anything sweet. Particularly cheesecakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family cooking traditions stopped with hamburger helper, overly baked chicken, and christmas cookies. This cooking experience is all me.
My cooking triumphs
My desserts are starting to gain a reputation for themselves.. as delicious.
My cooking tragedies
jalapeno in the eye. That was unfortunate. I'm also not so great with phyllo dough.

Pretty in Pink Sangria
This is oh-so good! I was looking for a new summertime drink recipe (It's feeling like summer already in Florida :) )without a lot of ingredients, and this was perfect! I made a slight mod in that I used a mixed berries blend of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries instead of just strawberries. This would be perfect for a girls night or bridal shower!
