Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I used a rot. chicken and shreeded the pieces and placed in crock pot. I add a bag of frozen mixed veggies and some chicken stock instead of water. I also used one can cream of chicken soup with herbs and one can cream of mushroom soup. I added onion, garlic powder and salt and pepper. I would use 2 cans of biscuts *(i tube from meijer is 2 biscuts are 100 calories). I just tore them into 4 pieces and dropped in crockpot and made sure they were covered with liquid about 90 mins prior to serving so they would get done and not too doughy flavored.

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
I gave this a 4 with the variations I used. I omitted the ground beef. I used cut up turkey sausage as the meat. I layered the dish with some cheese in the middle (pasta, pep., cheese, pasta, sausage, cheese). I also used fresh mushrooms. I made it the night before because I think pasta tastes better a day old.

Snickerdoodles V

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
The cookies were soft and slightly crunchy. I baked them for 13 mins at 325 degrees. I also made them about an inch size ball. 36 cookies really made double that, since they were smaller. I froze some, will see if they turn out at a later date. I also added some vanilla to the batter and omitted salt since I used salted butter.

I chopped up all the veggies. I didn't add any salt until after it was tasted. I left the skin on my potatoes.

Slow Cooked Apple Peach Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I would have peeled the apples and changed the ratio of spice to fruit. I did can this in a hot water bath. 3 bags of apples made 3.5 quarts of sauce.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
i followe the reviews and make this in the oven. I cut the chicken into bit size pieces and baked at 350 for 25 mins. I served it over brown rice and drizzled with extra marinade. I also didn't have ranch and used cesear drg (light). was ok-but would have used less.

Turtle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
I made some moderations to this recipe. I used an 8x8 square pan-- only 2 light cream cheese, i tried melting the caramels in milk--but would have rather used the caramel dip, used oreo's for crust and 1/2 of butter (the goo in the oreos help it stick together). would make it again- very rich.
