Pork and Green Chile Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
Somehow I could not bring myself to use the soup. Instead I pureed 1 can of drained pinto beans and added that. The family loves this recipe. Including the son who does not like beans!

Very good just about the way mom made it. Except I added about 1T of minced onion to this. Yep it is exactly how my grandmother made it.

Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

THE WORST FROSTING EVER. To grainy, to sweet and almost NO Chocolate flavor. Does not spread well. I do not recommend this recipe to any one. Going back to my butter and cream cheese recipe.

Very good. I did change the green bell pepper to red bell pepper. Hubby and I can't handle the green bell peppers any more. This was very good and made wonderful left overs for lunch!

Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2014
When using whipped cream in a recipe you fold the whipped cream into the mixture in order to leave the finished product light and fluffy. Sweetness or too much sugar is just a persons preference, I would have tasted the whipped cream while beating to see if it really need 1/4th cup. Also that is WAY TOO MUCH Vanilla. Most recipes like an entire cake usually call for 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Never seen a recipe to one tablespoon for 1 pie............ type error????? Suggestion when whipping the cream the cut the amount of sugar back to 1/4th cup. Do not beat the whipped cream into the recipe, gently fold it in the mixture. Also make sure you add only 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of vanilla to the mixture
