Surprise Banana Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
Used many ofthe suggested additions: 1 tbsp vanilla 1 tsp each baking soda/powder Subbed mini chocolate chips instead of nuts (as I had none) Filled cupcake liners very full and baked at 375 for almost 30 minutes (I have a slow oven) All in all an awesome wAy to use use lots of old bananas at once (which I had many many of). Since I throw my bananas in the freezer they seem to be very juicy when I thaw them out so I make a habit of draining them well and pat them dry. Didn't frost them either, they didn't need it! Aldo added about 1/4c of half and half and cut the sugar to 2/3c

Peanut Butter Chews

so easy! everything is usually on hand. used rice krispies tho. let the mixture boil for about 35 seconds (as to prevent hardness as recommended by other reviewers). worked beautifully. thank you!

i add 1 tsp of vanilla, 1/4 tsp cinnamon and 2 tbs white sugar for my husband and kids (i could go without) but they love it. even with just some cool whip. oh i also sub half the all purpose flour for whole wheat. love this crepe recipe because i don't need to seperate eggs and i ALWAYS have these ingredients on hand. We use this weekly. Thanks!!

Bran Flakes Muffins with Raisins

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
did this recipe twice. the first time i followed it almost to a T (changes: halfed the salt & added 1/2 tsp of cinnamon). had a friend take them to local heroes he decribed them as dry :( second time i used veg oil instead of shortening and allowed them to rest overnight. oops, also aded 1/4 c chocolate chips and 1/4 c of rehydrated craisins. still quite dry. maybe more milk?

i signed up just to rate this! so good. i did it sort of different though. i used mango malibu (on hand) and grand marnier (also on hand). added strawberries and didn't marinate *gasp*. i found all the pineapples and kiwi sunk to the bottom though :( but so so tasty. Also i didn't use as much sugar. all gone! me and 1 girlfriend!
