Grilled Coffee and Cola Skirt Steak

Reviewed: May 18, 2014
The recipe was great! Instead of a skirt steak, I used 4 striploin steaks about an inch thick and we had more than enough sauce for each steak. But like other reviewers, I would marinate this as long as possible. I did it for the 8 hours, but would definitely do it overnight or longer. The sauce was very tasty as well. Will definitely make again.

Hearty Southwest Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2012
It was quite good - easy to make. The peanut butter definitely provided a richness to the chilli. Made the kitchen smell like something was being roasted.

Slow Cooker Chicken Mole

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
A pretty decent mole recipe. It could use more cocoa or some dark chocolate, but the taste overall is pretty close to the real thing. Great job!

Butternut Squash Soup with a Kick

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Great flavours in this soup - definitely not your traditional butternut squash soup. Hubby loved the taste. Will definitely be making this again!

Honeyed Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
Great sauce! Like others, added a pinch of cinnamon, a pinch of cayenne and a pinch of hot red pepper flakes. Before putting in the oven, rubbed salt and pepper over the chicken so as to avoid that 'blandness' as some reviewer listed. Placed foil over it for 3/4 of the time in the oven and uncovered for the last quarter of the time. Great work and will make again.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Great recipe! It's so moist and doesn't even need the crumb topping but it does add a sweet touch to it.

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
I made this for a friend who LOVES tiramisua and she loved it. It's not too sweet, or too runny, but was just the perfect balance. I've already been asked to make this again! Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken In Coconut Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
Great base recipe - used a can of coconut milk instead - is the same as using coconut cream & hot water. Poured the coconut milk in with the onions & garlic and added 1/2 tsp of lemon juice, chilli powder, ground ginger, salt and pepper before adding the chicken. Without that, I found the sauce to be a little bland. But I definitely enjoyed those spices on the chicken.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
Great recipe - my boyfriend loves it! Instead of the full cup of oil, I substituted 1/2 cup of oil for a 1/2 cup of sour cream. Still keeps the bread very moist but with less fat.
