Excellent way to make french toast. Spices were perfect! I don't what SMALLIE81's problem was. Must have dumped more in than called for.

Sauteed Cherry Tomatoes with Garlic and Basil

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
This is an excellent side dish. Make sure you use FRESH basil or you get an entirely different taste. To me it's just not as good. Cherry tomatoes are much sweeter in taste than grape tomatoes. So choose your tomatoes for the taste you would like to achieve.

Very, very good! I followed the recipe except made my own pasta sauce. When you get a compliment from your spouse then you know it was good :-)

Pumpkin Cranberry Nut Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
This bread was fabulous! I followed the recipe exactly except that I substituted whole wheat flour in place of the all-purpose flour. It came out perfect. I had a whole crew of workers that were working on my house and I took a whole loaf to them for a snack. My goodness they gobbled that up so fast! Now I got myself in a mess because they are wanting more tomorrow. Ha-ha love it and thank you Darlene for posting this fabulous recipe!

Surprise Banana Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
I was looking for a new recipe to use up some over ripe bananas I had and I am glad I found this recipe. I used whole wheat flour in place of all-purpose Flour (this I always do because it’s so much better for you) but didn’t change anything else. I made sure to cream the sugar and flour very well together before adding all the other ingredients. I used a Bundt pan, and because it was dark, the temperature was cut down to 350 degrees so it would not darken too much before it was done. I left it in the oven for 45 minutes and it came out perfect. I let it cool for about 15 minutes and then added a light glaze over it. (Check my photo that I submitted) My husband just raved about it and wanted me to make another one so he could take to work and share with his employees. Thank you tomg for posting this fantastic recipe!

My Grandmother's Best Berry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
First I would like to say that nothing bothers me more than someone that does not follow the recipe and when it doesn't turn out they give the recipe a bad review. Folks, please follow the recipe first before you change anything and review it… then, change whatever you like. If your version turns out good please share it with us under the custom versions. We would love that..... Ok with that said and out of the way, I loved this pie. It was so easy to make and just about as perfect as you can get for a blueberry pie. The crust was the easiest crust I have ever made. No need for a rolling pin! Thank you Fabian Karrholm for sharing this recipe with us!

To me this is the best cheesecake we have ever tasted! I have made it 5 times now and it has always turned out perfect. Everyone that has tasted it wants the recipe. I had never had a praline cheesecake untill my husband asked me to make one for a friends Birthday. Glad I came here first and found this one! Thank you for posting it!

Apple Turnovers

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
This recipe is THE best I have found that has it all. Not many ingredients, simple, fast and delicious! I followed the recipe first just as written and they were fabulous. The next time I made them I added some raisins (that I had steamed in water till they were plump) in with the apples. I also added about 1/2 teaspoon of Apple Pie Spice in with the brown sugar and cinnamon. They turned out just absolutely wonderful!

Kecia's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
This recipe was great as is. I made it the second time and changed just a few things. I used red wine vinegar in place of the cider vinegar. Added craisins along with the raisins. I also used red onion in place of the green onions and added some yellow, red, and orange colored bell peppers which made for a beautiful presentation. I also used Splenda in place of the sugar. It turned out just awesome! Thank you for the recipe Kecia!

Blueberry Cheesecake

This was a very easy cheesecake to make. I think it needs just a touch of lemon rind to give the flavor a boost for our taste buds. Other than that it is perfection. Thank you JJOHN32!

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This tea was fantastic! The added baking soda really changed the taste to absolute perfection. All the measurements make a perfect pitcher of tea. I used decaffeinated tea and substituted Splenda for the sugar. Now I can drink a lot of it with no guilt. The really cool thing was no one noticed the change when I served it at my dinner party. I got rave reviews and everyone asked for more. Thank you for posting this recipe. You have changed my way of making tea from now on!

Pasta Isabarte

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
All I can say is just WoW!! This was fantastic tasting and so easy to make. The only change I made was making my own sauce. I don't like sauce from a jar. I also added an extra egg. My husband loved it and took some of the left overs to work and shared it with his co-workers because he was so proud to show it off. Now, that is a compliment to the cook for sure! Thank you for posting this. You helped make me a star :o)

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
My husband really went in a rant about this chicken. We loved it! I followed the recipe and only change I made is I combined the mustard and honey before I poured over chicken. Also I used dijon mustard instead of plain for that extra zing! This is going in my recipe box to make over and over!

I made this recipe just as written only I used brown rice. When cooking brown rice you have to lengthen the cooking time by half hour, though. Love the recipe, MEGSCOOKIN, thank you!

Cranberry Apple Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
I just made this and it was wonderful! I replaced white flour with whole wheat. That is the only change I made. For those that complained about the mix being too dry...it is BREAD not cake! So don't excect it to have the consistency of cake batter. Also you should use very ripe apples not the green ones. That will make the moisture just right.

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
I just cooked this tonight. Wow! It was hard to believe so much flavor with such little prepartion. I followed the recipe exactly as it should be done the first go around, then I will change anything to our taste if it is needed next time. Well let me tell ya, nothing had to be changed! This recipe is great as it is written. I would not change one thing. Anything that can make my husbands head turn to me and say, "This is really good, hon", is a keeper. Thank you, dfries for posting it for us!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This is one of the best bread pudding recipes here on the site. I have tried several, but keep coming back to this one because of its simplicity. I have used differant breads and then tried something differant. I had made a batch of homemade cinnamon rolls and had so many left over that I thought of using them in this recipe. All I changed was lowering the sugar to 1/3 cup because of so much sugar already in the cinnamon rolls. I made sure to add the raisins of course and my goodness, what a wonderful sweet surprise! Thank you so much for this recipe, Ellenmarie!
