easy and tasty. Our pork roast was 3 1/2 lbs so I figured for a little longer cooking time. Plus I added potatoes, carrots, and celery (in addition to the onion). As a result, I did not taste the hot sauce that gives the dish its name. So next time I'll add more hot sauce, maybe 1/2 tsp or so. And I think I'll pull back on the sugar. All that to say, It's an easy recipe to tweak to your personal preferences.
Second time, I used pork loin chops and doubled the sauce. Fortunately I stopped the cooking at 4hours (instead of 6 per recipe) because with the chops, it needs less time. Even so, at 4 hours, it seemed a little dry to me. That was my doing, not the fault of the recipe. NOTE TO SELF: with chops, cook about 3 or 3 1/2 hrs.
