Caramel Snack Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
MMMM! So YUMMY! I made these for packaging up and giving as holiday treats. I have made several batches, and it really is a hit! I've used mixed nuts instead of just almonds and pecans. This turns out so yummy and addictive! Everyone loves it!

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Great starter recipe! I added green onions, sliced mushrooms, used frozen peas, and diced carrots. I added some diced leftover ham and made it into a one pot meal. The sesame oil is a must, but just a drizzle! A little goes a long way! YUM!

Chicken Pot Pie Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
Delicious and so easy to make! I throw everything in the crock pot in the morning and stir a couple of times throughout the day. We serve it with home made biscuits. I've made this soup a couple of times, one time I omitted the condensed potato soup and just made it with one can of soup, still a great recipe. I've also made this soup with leftover turkey, it's a great versitle soup. Yummy!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This was wonderfully moist and tasty! We don't eat the skin, so I put all the butter under the skin, cooked the bird, and removed the skin afterwards. The meat was so moist, even the next day! No more dry Thanksgiving turkeys for us! Thank you!

Lunch-Box "Handwiches"

I didn't use the frozen loaf bread. I made fresh bread dough with the bread machine. Other than that I followed the recipe to a T. It turned out wonderful and my son begged for the leftovers! YUM!

I've made this recipe a couple of times now. It is so simple, yet very tasty. My family has been happy with it everytime. It is gobbled down with very little leftovers. We top ours with shredded cheese just before serving.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I love this cookie! I have to make every year at christmas time. If you want more of a gingersnap cookie, cook it a little longer. But this cookie recipe will make a nice soft ginger cookie that is full of spice and stays soft! YUM!

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This is the best pasta salad recipe I have found! It makes a lot, which is great for a family BBQ or potluck. Otherwise I split the recipe in half and still have plenty for leftovers. YUM

Kettle Corn

This is great! I sprinkle a little salt after it's all popped, gives it that awesome sweet/salty flavor combo. Also, I've made this in my stir crazy popcorn maker. So easy! YUM

Maple Cream Bonbons

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
I knew this would be good as soon as I tested the cream mixture. WOW! The only thing I changed was the maple flavoring. I bought a 1 fl. oz. bottle and when I measured it out it wasn't exactly 3 tablespoons, so I just used the whole bottle. I didn't want huge candies, so I dropped them on a parchment lined cookie sheet about 1/2 teaspoon in size. I stuck them in the fridge to harden, then rolled them in my hands to make nice round balls. Then I stuck them back in the fridge while I got the chocolate mixture melted. One thing I found to make the dipping process easier was to only pull a few out of the fridge at a time, so they don't get too warm and melt into your chocolate. I guess if I had more paitence, freezing them would have been better. I need more pratice with my dipping technique, but let me tell you this has no effect on the taste! I'll definately be making these for years to come. Very gourmet and addictive! YUM! (my smaller sized balls yeilded 100 bonbons)

Mocha Nut Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
This turned out very nice for me. I'm a huge coffee lover, so I doubled the instant coffee granules, and used about half of the walnuts. I wasn't able to shape it into two logs, I guess I was too slow stirring in the nuts. So I poured it into a 9x9 pan, let it cool on the counter, and cut into little squares. YUMMY!

Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Crackers

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
These are so easy to make, and so addictive! YUM! One hint, I like to freeze the craker sandwich before dipping. This makes it stay together and not melt into the chocolate.
