Unbelievable Chicken

Very good marinade and appreciate the common ingredients. No special trip to the grocery. Thinking of adding some crushed red pepper flakes next time to add just a bit of a kick. Will certainly use this one again! Thanks.

Spinach and Blue Cheese Soup

Who would've thought to put blue cheese and spinach in a soup?!?! It was delicious! Followed the recipe pretty closely only using fresh spinach, switching evap milk for cream and just sprinkling real bacon bits on top upon serving. And I didn't puree. Would've liked to see it thicken a bit more. Might up the flour some next time.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Very good flavor on the chicken and veggies. Followed the recipe very closely but added a little ginger and a few shakes of hot pepper flakes. I marinanted and skewered the veggies and chicken separately. Nice change of "taste"....will be using again. Thanks for sharing.

Not Your Every Day Smoked Pork Spare Ribs

Yummmmy! Followed the rub recipe except for the omission of the cinnamon. (I'm sure it's good....I just can't!) And just sprayed them in the smoker with some apple juice instead of the mop sauce. Falling off the bone tender and yummy bark and meat flavor. Also put some of the rub on some chicken breasts and cooked them on the grill. Those were very good also!

Hashbrown Casserole

Been making this for years and everyone loves it. My version uses the cubed frozen hash browns with peppers and onions(potatoes O'brien) Then you can omit the onion flakes. I also use cream of mushroom soup and a bit more butter and cheese. But this is a GREAT cook-out side dish. We make it at the lake ahead of time and pop it in the oven while getting the rest of dinner ready. Winner everytime!

Hummus III

I tweaked the way most suggested....less tahini, more garlic, added canned roasted red peppers and it was amazing! Served with pita chips and it was a hit! It does make quite a bit, so if you aren't having a party or don't want to eat just hummus for a week take the suggestion of freezing in muffin cups for thawing later.

Freezer Caramel Drizzle Pie

YUMMY! I lightened it up a bit and don't think it was compromised a bit. Used reduce-fat graham cracker pie crusts, only 3 T of butter for the coconut and pecans and lite cream cheese and whipped topping. Rave reviews from all who shared it! Thanks!

Chicken Andouille Gumbo

Yummmy. Had to add an onion! And used the oven for browning the flour, worked very well. But was afraid of burning the flour so used 375 and only went for 30 mins or so, stirring between 5 and 10 mins. The whole thing takes a while and several pots but was worth it!

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Yummy! Based on other reviewers and my personal preferance for a denser cookie, I added 1 cup of oatmeal that I had put thru the blender so that is like flour. Also added some OJ, orange zest and more craisens and vanilla baking chips, omitting the macadamia nuts. They are very pretty and very tasty!

Banana Banana Bread

Just like my Great-Aunt Bertha used to make. I had been looking for a recipe that matched her bread for years and here it is. Added some vanilla, but that was all. I think baking time varies on the actual amount of banana used, so start on the short side and check frequently. The last thing you want to do is over-bake it. My did get a deep brown on top but was very moist inside.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

I made this recipe as muffins and they did not stay around long. Everyone loved them. My only modifcations were similar to others. Half white, half brown sugar. Then I used 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce. Cuts the calories a bit but doesn't compromise the moistness.

Shoyu Chicken

This has been one of my family favorite for years. I have just a couple of things I do differently. I use a 1/2 cup each brown sugar and pineapple juice and reduce the water to 1/2 cup. I also use green onion, and have never added oregano, or paprika. We usually get enough heat from the crushed red pepper and haven't had a need for the cayenne either. Everyone raves and wants the recipe. Enjoy!

Karyn's Cream of Crab Soup

Wow...expected this to be good but it was wonderful! It took some other reviewers advice and added some celery and onion, also used 3 cups half and half and 2 cups milk for calorie's sake. It was still very rich. Don't go to all this trouble and skimp on canned crab. Get the fresh crab in the tubs in the seafood department.

Batman's Best Caesar Dressing

I love this! Did it on the spur of the moment as the chicken was on the grill and it was yummy. Can't wait to taste it tomorrow after it has had time to blend. It's important to use a blender or food processer and drizzle in the most of the olive oil so that it emulsifies. Mine was nice and thick. I'm sure it would benefit from fresh lemon juice and high quality parm but even Real Lemon and Kraft were good! I doubled the garlic and didn't have anchovy paste but otherwise to the letter! Thanks for sharing!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Per my husband.... "a keeper". You could easily season this completely differently and get a great result. Cajun, Mexican seasonings. Great starting place for lots of options. Chicken was moist and looked very pretty.

Yummy! Much easier than others I've tried. I only used the citrus fruits and added the Sprite at serving. If you have left overs to store for later, I'd recommend removing the fruit first. The rinds can make it bitter after a bit.

Easy Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Loved this! It's simple, easy and delicious! We grilled ours on the top shelf of the grill. Best tip for grilling a pork loin is get a meat thermometer! Takes out the guessing if it's done and it won't be raw or overdone and dry.

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Loved this as alternative to the grape jelly/chili sauce meatballs! I bought frozen meatballs and just glazed the in the sauce with the peppers and pineapple. I did add a few shakes of red pepper flakes for kick. Yummy!
