Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
Used prepared meatballs from Costco and doubled the sauce....as other reviews said, they disappeared really fast. Everyone loved them, have never had meatballs go over this well before......great sauce. I put them in crockpot on low for several hours, stirring every hour. With all of the positive comments I received I will never make them any other way in the future..

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
Very easy and the most moist and tender pork chops I have ever made. I used Italian bread crumbs as that is all I had and it needs more seasoning if you use these. Next time I will either add more seasoning or try the stuffing mix. I also used very thick, 1 1/2 inch boneless chops and cooked for 15 minutes on each side -- perfect. I have never had luck with chops before, usually too dry, but these were moist and tender. This is my go to recipe for cooking chops in the future!

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

This is a wonderful way to use up leftover beef. I sliced our leftover beef tenderloin very thin and followed the recipe exactly. What a great, fast dinner or weekend lunch....husband LOVED it!

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
Couldn't understand why so many people loved this recipe because it looked too easy to be that good....Oh my, this was wonderful. Baked at 375 for 30 min. and it was perfect. As others had recommended, let the frozen veggies thaw first, this is key to having everything finish cooking at the same time. This will be on our menu quite a few times during this Lenten season, and throughout the year.

Santa's Whiskers I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
Wonderful cookies, not too sweet. Have used this recipe for years but had misplaced it. Played around with the oven temps as everyone has there own theory of perfect temperature. Definitely 12 minutes at 375. Tried it at 350 and every 2 minutes checked it...it took a total of 16 minutes at 350 and was not as happy with the outcome at a lower temperature. Next time will try and mix the coconut in with the dough and use dried cranberries, that sounds really interesting!!

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
Very tasty served with hot crusty bread. I cut down the flour/chix broth/milk in half and used shredded parmesean/reggiano cheese. Also added a cup or so of peas. My husband loved it and it will definately be made again!!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
Makes a lot - perfect for a very large party. I drained the chunky salsa and also used Rotel chopped tomatoes, drained, in place of the fresh tomatoes. Added a layer of store bought guacamole and served with scoops. The lettuce was a nice addition and it did not get soggy. Agree with other suggestions and added only 1/2 a pkg of taco seasoning, it was more than enough....very easy to put together and it was loved by all. A definite for every BIG party we have!

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
OMG a great, fast dessert. Added a splash of vanilla and sprinkled a little cinnamon-sugar on the top. Added a little more fruit, used blueberries and raspberries and made in a deep dish pie plate. It only served 4 so next time will double and make in a 9 x 13. It seems awfully simple but try it, you won't be disappointed.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
Wonderful change of pace for bar-b-q chicken. Followed the recipe to the tee - marinated the chicken for about 12 hours. Wouldn't change a thing, it was delicious and enjoyed by all. The Chicken was about the most moist I have ever grilled. A definate keeper! Served with roasted red potatoes and roasted asparagus.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
I have made this several times and have never been disappointed. When i can't get to the grill this is my go to "winter" recipe for steaks when I have company. It is always a hit and I am always asked for the recipe. The steaks cook to the perfect medium rare stage - a no fail ... if you like balsamic do yourself a favor and try this one!!!! I normally serve with twice baked potatoes and either roasted asparagus or broccoli.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
Made recipe exactly as printed and it was amazing. I thought my husband would eat it at one seating but he had to fight me for it! Used the 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan and baked for 27 minutes - it was perfect. Even the store bought cream cheese frosting was very good on it. Used 4 small to medium bananas and it was not too much, it was probably 1 1/2 to 2 cups. Definitely a keeper recipe to make again and again...very easy!!!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
I've used this recipe for years and it has never failed me - only difference I make is I use a cup of red wine instead of water...I also add a can of cream soup such as mushroom or celery, makes it's own gravy with this.

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
Unbelievable pie. I used about 6 cups of rhubarb and it was perfect, will certainly make this again. I'm not much of a baker but this turned out better than I thought it would. Used ready made pie crust and vented the top crust with 8 small cuts. Also covered the edge with foil first 15 minutes so it would not burn. Brushed milk on top crust and sprinkled with sugar before baking....it was just fabulous -- the easiest, prettiest and tastiest pie I have ever made or eaten!! A definate make again during rhubarb season.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
This was very dry and totally tasteless. I doubled the spices as some suggested and it did nothing to improve it. I gave it 2 stars because when I shred it and add bar-b-q sauce it will make great sandwiches, I hope.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
What an interesting and delicious cake - my husband loved it and had two huge pieces with just a bit of whipped cream on top. Followed the directions exactly and it was perfect. Although I used strawberries I think it would be great with raspberries too.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
Amazing sauce. Used only chicken thighs but will also use chicken breasts next time. Don't change a thing - the house smells unbelievable and the taste very light. As others suggested, covered with foil first half of baking time and then uncovered for chicken to get golden brown. Definately a chicken recipe that will be used over and over.

Baked Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
This is the new go to potato casserole that your guests will love. It is so easy and a pretty presentation. I cut back on the cubed cheese by one cup and it still had more than enough. This is a great 'special' dish for your holiday buffet. My adult kids couldn't get enough of it and I had no leftovers for the next meal. Everyone that I have served it to has asked for the recipe!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
This is not to be believed -- people can't get enough of it, especially the guys. I added the entire 4 oz can of chopped jalapeno peppers and it gave it the perfect 'bite'. You won't have to worry about any leftovers with this dip!
