Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
This is truly great. I just reduce the pepper to 1/2 teaspoon though and I used regular salt instead of sea salt and used only 1/2 teaspoon. I would never buy store taco seasoning again. Thank you.

Grandma Snyder's Oatmeal Cake

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This cake is awesome. I made some changes though to some of the ingredients. I used 1/4 cup butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 cup of milk and it was perfect. I made a glaze for it too. I used allrecipe's Vanilla Glaze that was made with only conf. sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. I drizzled the glaze on the top. Just a little is needed. It was awesome.

Baked Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
Love this recipe. Oh my gosh, I used the 15oz can of pumpkin and change some of the ingredients, but this is awesome. I even topped it with the "Cream Cheese Frosting II" recipe and it was to die for. Super yummy! I'm in love with this recipe. What I changed was: 1/2 teaspoon of salt, added 1 teaspoon of ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger. Used 1 cup of milk. Used ¾ cup regular sugar and added 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. It took longer to bake, but it was worth it. Yum, can't wait to debut this at Thanksgiving!

Great recipe. Easy to make. I think I will never buy frosting again. I'll just make my own now. Thanks.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
Love, Love, Love this recipe. Found this recipe like over 2 years ago and I still use it. I love it. I changed it a little. Instead of 2/3 cup white sugar, I use 1/4 cup of sugar or 2 tablespoons of honey. I don't use vegetable oil. I use canola or olive oil. This is the best recipe ever! Love it! Not overly sweet. Just plain delicious!

Excellent and Healthy Cornbread

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
Saw this recipe today and made it with what I had on hand. I changed the recipe. I used 1 c flour, 1 c cornmeal, 3 tablespoon sugar, 3 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup of nonfat vanilla yogurt. The yogurt I used was 6oz of nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt (13 grams of sugar in it) put that in a measuring cup and then added some nonfat vanilla regular yogurt (also this kind has 12 grams of sugar) to complete the 1 cup. (I did this because this was what I had on hand). 2 beaten eggs. 1/2 cup of milk. It was pretty good. Not sweet tasting. If you want more sweetness then add more sugar. It was very moist and good. I'm glad I found this recipe. Another favorite is on allrecipes.com is Golden Sweet Cornbread.
