Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
Delicious! :) This is fine resteraunt quality! I buy 2 large cans of salmon you have to pick the bones/skin out of.. because it is much tastier than the only meat cans. Reserve a bit of juice incase your pattys are too dry. I would add a few tablespoons of the salmon juice and extra bread crumbs if it needs more. This gave me about 8 salmon cakes. Also added one extra egg. The rest of the recipe I followed exactly. My kids LOVED these and I'm going to choose this recipe over an old favorite recipe from now on. I think the chopped onion is great in it. (was a bit curious how that would turn out) I wouldnt use the onion powder over it personally.

Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2002
I made this recipe and the baked salmon II recipe at the same time. the baked salmon was great, full of flavor throughout the salmon. this one was great also but not as full of flavor. a little more bland but still was tasty. you really taste the good flavor of the salmon but with a nice taste on top. the other recipe was more infused in the whole flavor. probably cause the oil it calls for. this is lighter and i will probably make it again. thanx.

Grilled Scampi

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2002
This was great. although i did it a bit different. i used about a half lb of the next size down shrimp without tails. i didnt bother to slice them. i mixed up the ingredients, let them sit in it for a bit then broiled them in the oven. was delicious mixed in with my fettucinni alfredo. will make again. thanx.

Excellent!!!! I added my own kiev recipe and wanted to try a few of the other since they were so different. this one is wonderful! it has a totally unique flavor but it very good. this goes down in my recipe book. I used pepperjack for extra kick. this could be the best recipe i've tried off allrecipies so far. try it!

Slow Cooker Creamed Spinach

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2002
This is really good. i pureed the mixture after cooking in the crock pot for about an hour, then returned it to the crock pot. it tasted even better. my husband likes it too and isnt a big spinach fan. my 4 yr old wasnt crazy about it but anything green and squishy is going to be hard to feed him even if its good. i think other kids who dont have this issue would like it.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
Wow! Just delicious! We will for sure make this again and again. I did all the alterations recommended by other reviewers though. 2 lb stew meat, 2 cans soup, 1/2 cup beef broth instead of water, added salt, pepper and garlic powder, 1/2 packet onion soup mix, sauteed mushrooms in butter and added at end and dollop of sour cream. Cooked on low 5 hrs. It was to DIE for! We served over egg noodles with a side of boiled potatoes with a butter/dill sauce. Its also great warmed up the next day!

McCormick® Almond Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
These are really tasty! I added some slivered almonds and I didn't have any shortening on hand so used 2 sticks of butter. I also rolled them in a little sugar before cooking. turned out great! :) Edited to add I'm made three dozen for a cookie exchange and they were a hit!

Fantastic Lemon Butter Fillet

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
Fantastic! I was hoping to find an easy recipe to fix Cod since I'm tired of our regular way. I had everything on hand and whipped this up tonight and it was delicious! I love the lemon butter mixture! I did adjust the recipe though to recommendations on here. I cut the salt/pepper amount in half. (Would have been too salty otherwise). Added 1/2 tsp dill to the butter sauce and skipped the lemon pepper completely. I also added a dollop of mayonnaise to the second half of the butter mixture for drizzling over the fish. A keeper for sure. I think I actually over ate on this tonight. I think I may eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow instead of sending them with DH to work. MMMMM!

Butternut Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2002
This was terrible. i halved the onion and it was still very overpowered by the onion. it was way to liquidy and the flavor wasnt great. plus it was a pain to cut the skin off the squash and puree it all. not worth it to me.

Baked Breakfast Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2002
i made these to freeze and rewarm for breakfasts. (skipped baking) i just put everything on the inside and froze them individually and microwave for a few minutes when ready to eat. they have an interesting and addictive flavor. i added a few jalapenos and salt for extra flavor/spice. i crave these. at first didnt know if they'd be good but they are rewarmed from the freezer and probably if you bake them they'll be good too.

Orange-Glazed Cornish Hens

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
I've made this recipe with cornish hens and a chicken and it never seems to hit the spot. But I DO LOVE the rice! I kept the rice recipe to serve with other chicken dishes. My husband and kids couldnt get enough of the rice. I cook it on the stove and serve without cooking any more in the oven. It's DELISH!

Warm and Spicy Autumn Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
This is SO delicious!! I've made it the last few years and I just I realized I hadn't left a review yet. I couldnt wait to make it this year(it really is a fall/winter drink because its warm). It has a tangy and delicious flavor that is addicting. It is "similar" to apple cider but I HATE apple cider and I cant get enough of this. I have a few requests for the recipe every time I make it!

Blackened Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2002
This was ok. it was a bit too buttery but the flavor is good. just didnt hit the spot or something. it might taste better on catfish. i personally prefer baked salmon or grilled- marinated with the cajun seasoning. my 4 yr old wouldnt eat it and my husband said it was "ok". it tastes better i think as cold leftovers in the fridge. it was good that way. maybe cause the butter was hard again.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2002
I've been searching for a good peanut butter cookie recipe. THIS IS IT! although i didnt use the whole jar. ha. i had to 1/4th the recipe. only for my husband, 4 yr old and myself. we all loved them! next time though i'll leave out the peanuts. if i were to add them i would grind them up first. would blend in better with the soft cookies. thanks for a great recipe! i'll use this one from now on.

Rosemary Lemon Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
I used olive oil like a lot of reviews suggested. I thought it really needed something though. I tried adding a dab of butter on the already cooked chicken and that really didn't do anything. I then added some honey to the rest of the sauce. It went from ok to yumm. The sweet/savory mix made it tons better. I then wished I had more of the sauce made. I will always add some honey to it from now on.

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
I made this exactly like the recipe but left out the shallot because I couldn't find any at our store. Next time I hope to try it with that in it. My husband and kids loved it! I was worried about the mustard but it gave it a nice tangy flavor. The curry was great in it also. Thanks for the recipe!
