Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
I added the sugar and popcorn after a few kernels popped in the warmed oil because of other review comments. make sure to shake often and remove as soon as its done to avoid scorching. Add salt just after removing from the stove. I also added a bit more sugar and it was DELICIOUS!! I have been craving kettle corn constantly since we went to a corn maze and the microwave stuff just doesnt cut it!! this recipe is to die for! :)

Chocolate Scotcheroos

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
Wow! these are great and so easy to make!! Would be perfect for a potluck so you dont eat them all yourself ;) I used about half a cup to a cup less of cereal to make them a bit gooey. I also only put them in the fridge long enough to cool a bit (15 min) cut them, then left them on the counter covered with plastic wrap so they dont get too hard.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
This turkey was moist and yummy! My only "complaint" was that it is easier said than done to flip a turkey during cooking. I had a 22 lb turkey and it was tricky, it was hot and also so moist it was hard trying not to damage it. Since it cooked on its breast most of the time some pieces(skin and meat) came a little loose and when flipped over it wasnt as "pretty" as it could have been, but no one minded and ate it up. It's also tricky to put water around the turkey (used two trashbags) and stuff it in the fridge.. it was somewhat funny really. I most likely will use the recipe again. thanks! :)

Warm and Spicy Autumn Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
This is SO delicious!! I've made it the last few years and I just I realized I hadn't left a review yet. I couldnt wait to make it this year(it really is a fall/winter drink because its warm). It has a tangy and delicious flavor that is addicting. It is "similar" to apple cider but I HATE apple cider and I cant get enough of this. I have a few requests for the recipe every time I make it!

Chicken Garlic Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
WOW! This is the best pizza I think I've ever had! I added garlic powder and salt, green onions, small brocolli chunks and sundried tomato. I also used cottage cheese instead of ricotta and added a bit of mozzarella cheese. Delicious with a glass of cold iced tea.. use a store bought premade crust tho! Also I used a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. I made another chicken pizza with half of the chicken. both were great, but this was better. thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly except I used pork. The pork I bought fell into chunks after I opened the package(it was labeled for bbq use) that made it fit well into the sauce.. I occasionally sturred while it cooked on low and It never got a hard cooked "ring" around the side. The meat fell apart if I just poked it with my wooden spoon, so it was very easy to shred. I served it on hamburger buns. My two boys couldnt get enough! thankyou so much for this recipe!! the flavor is excellent! brisket is also good in this sauce. I've made the sauce alone for other bbq recipies.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
Wow! Just delicious! We will for sure make this again and again. I did all the alterations recommended by other reviewers though. 2 lb stew meat, 2 cans soup, 1/2 cup beef broth instead of water, added salt, pepper and garlic powder, 1/2 packet onion soup mix, sauteed mushrooms in butter and added at end and dollop of sour cream. Cooked on low 5 hrs. It was to DIE for! We served over egg noodles with a side of boiled potatoes with a butter/dill sauce. Its also great warmed up the next day!

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
This recipe is just delish!! It is pretty easy to make as well. I used only 8 oz of pasta (this was for me, my husband and two young sons) and the same amount of sauce. It was just saucy enough for me so if i made more pasta I'd double the sauce. I also used linguini instead of fettucine.. and doubled the shrimp instead of using scallops(which I dont care for) and I also used a bit less red pepper cause I had two little boys eating it. Everyone RAVED. my husband said it is better than Olive Garden and couldnt get enough. I'm sure it'd be great more spicy as well.. I may have to try that sometime.. but its even delicious without much red pepper.. I also dashed some mcormick -1 step seasoning- roasted garlic and bell pepper on the top.. it added color and extra flavor(it didnt require tho) Placed them on a plate and it looked like and tasted like resteraunt quality! It was even better warmed up for lunch the next day! A definite keeper! thanks!!

Savory Montreal Steak Rub

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2004
This is delicious!! I'm not a big steak eater but I like them occasionally. Now i might eat them more often with this rub! My whole family and I loved it, even my 6 yr old. I didnt need any steak sauce or anything to spice it up. it was great alone. Perfect blend of spices and sweetness to create its own flavor.

Braciola I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2004
This is delicious. Altho i like to pound the meat with a mallet to tenderize it some. i also spread the butter on it and only some of the cheese then after rolling and securing with toothpicks instead of the string i put more cheese on top and butter. This is great served with a side of shell pasta cooked with spaghetti sauce and lots of mozzerella cheese. the raisens are very important to the flavor of the meat. i'm not crazy about raisens but they are really good in this dish. I will be making this again and again.
