McCormick® Almond Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
These are really tasty! I added some slivered almonds and I didn't have any shortening on hand so used 2 sticks of butter. I also rolled them in a little sugar before cooking. turned out great! :) Edited to add I'm made three dozen for a cookie exchange and they were a hit!

Rosemary Lemon Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
I used olive oil like a lot of reviews suggested. I thought it really needed something though. I tried adding a dab of butter on the already cooked chicken and that really didn't do anything. I then added some honey to the rest of the sauce. It went from ok to yumm. The sweet/savory mix made it tons better. I then wished I had more of the sauce made. I will always add some honey to it from now on.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
I had some very ripe bananas to use so I tried this recipe. It is pretty tasty. I think I prefer regular banana bread to this but my kids liked it. I used low fat buttermilk instead of sour cream and it came out fine.

Spinach and Mushroom Frittata

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
This was FANTASTIC! I love when a new recipe becomes an instant favorite. ;) I did change a couple things though. I didn't buy the mushrooms because you had to buy a large package of them. I tried diced red bell pepper instead. My middle was a bit moist as someone else mentioned but I am sure it is because I didn't drain the spinach as well as I should have. I saw a bit of green juice and I think that was what made it not set as well. It didn't matter it was still VERY tasty and I'll make this again and again! thanks for the recipe!

Dump Cake IV

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
VERY yummy! for those that expect this to be the consistency of a cake it is not. I already knew that on finding this recipe. A dump cake isn't like a regular cake. I'm not sure why they suggested a bundt pan. I use a 13x9 baking dish and take it to potlucks. Its very tasty!

Fantastic Lemon Butter Fillet

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
Fantastic! I was hoping to find an easy recipe to fix Cod since I'm tired of our regular way. I had everything on hand and whipped this up tonight and it was delicious! I love the lemon butter mixture! I did adjust the recipe though to recommendations on here. I cut the salt/pepper amount in half. (Would have been too salty otherwise). Added 1/2 tsp dill to the butter sauce and skipped the lemon pepper completely. I also added a dollop of mayonnaise to the second half of the butter mixture for drizzling over the fish. A keeper for sure. I think I actually over ate on this tonight. I think I may eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow instead of sending them with DH to work. MMMMM!

Sorry. I just didn't like these AT ALL. My 2 kids wouldn't even eat them and they'll usually eat anything with sugar in it.

Smoked Sausage and Zucchini Saute

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
I'll give this 3 stars cause my husband loved it. It was not up my alley though and I could hardly eat it. I also love zucchini and sausage.. but I'm not a big fan of tomato type sauces. I used the rotel diced tomatoes with chilis and also added some fresh garlic. I used garlic powder and added some salt. I also served it with brown rice. Because of the rotel it was a bit too spicy for my kids and they ended up eating raviolis.. I ate a tad and my Dh about ate all of the rest of it and saved just enough for leftovers for his lunch tomorrow. He asked that I make it for him sometimes to take to work for lunch...

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
I made this exactly like the recipe but left out the shallot because I couldn't find any at our store. Next time I hope to try it with that in it. My husband and kids loved it! I was worried about the mustard but it gave it a nice tangy flavor. The curry was great in it also. Thanks for the recipe!

Orange-Glazed Cornish Hens

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
I've made this recipe with cornish hens and a chicken and it never seems to hit the spot. But I DO LOVE the rice! I kept the rice recipe to serve with other chicken dishes. My husband and kids couldnt get enough of the rice. I cook it on the stove and serve without cooking any more in the oven. It's DELISH!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
I made this yesterday for Thanksgiving and it was DELICIOUS! I'm not even a stuffing person. I usually don't like it very much. But I loved this and so did my guests. I will probably make it every year. The only thing I did different was I used pork sausage (I couldnt find turkey sausage.) but I'm sure the turkey is just as good. I also used the bagged bread cubes for stuffing at the grocery store. The cranberries added a nice flavor. All the spices were great! This also couldn't be easier to make with the bagged bread cubes. I'm sure home baked bread crumbs would be delicious also. Thankyou Stacy!

Baked Brie with Pesto and Pine Nuts

Not bad! I did the recipe exactly and it was pretty good. I think it may be better with homemade pesto but the mccormick is good also. Has a strong flavor so serve with other appetisers/foods.

Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
Delicious! :) This is fine resteraunt quality! I buy 2 large cans of salmon you have to pick the bones/skin out of.. because it is much tastier than the only meat cans. Reserve a bit of juice incase your pattys are too dry. I would add a few tablespoons of the salmon juice and extra bread crumbs if it needs more. This gave me about 8 salmon cakes. Also added one extra egg. The rest of the recipe I followed exactly. My kids LOVED these and I'm going to choose this recipe over an old favorite recipe from now on. I think the chopped onion is great in it. (was a bit curious how that would turn out) I wouldnt use the onion powder over it personally.
