Smoked Salmon Spread
Excellent, easy to prepare dip! Don't let the "hot sauce" scare you into leaving it out. I used Tabasco Smoked Chipotle and you could only faintly taste it. I could not find fresh dill, so I used dried flakes and it worked out fine. Easy, easy way to impress friends during the holidays with this one! 1 hint - let the cream cheese warm to room temp prior to working with it.

Hot Spiced Cider
This is the 3rd time I've made it and I believe I've hit a homer! Don't use any brown sugar, this is sweet enough with the cider. I added 2 cinnamon sticks instead of 1. I also boiled it on high for 5 minutes in a large pot, let it sit and cool for another 5, then double filtered it through my coffee maker basket. I would hate to see what this would do to the insides of a coffee pot for those of us who enjoy coffee. The first filtration is with a paper towel, then back through the basket with a coffee filter. Nothing but rave reviews from everyone that drank it. Well worth the extra work.

German Potato Salad
This is the best recipe I've found for german potato salad. I rarely make it just for 4 servings though. I usually make double it and freeze half for another day. Also, you can use this recipe to make a large warmer full for weddings, graduations, etc. I've made it twice with a 20lb bag of potatoes. It's a little time consuming but very easy to put together. Note: Don't understand why, but it tastes so much better if you immediately put this in the refrigerator for use the next day. When I do this and use my crock pot to warm it up before serving folks rave over it. Just not the same when I make it and serve the same day.
