Simple Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
How do you give Sloppy Joes 5 stars? I guess the flavor just suits me. I usually make everything as the recipe says and this one has a slightly sweet flavor that makes it taste so good to me and kids like it better too because it cuts down on the acidity of the tomato sauce. It is a keeper for sure!

Cheesy Broccoli Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I have to give this five stars because my family always asks me to keep making this for them. They get so excited when it is on the menu. I use the Jiffy box mix and store the usued portion in the refridgerator so I can make it again and again.

I used this shortcake recipe and topped it with strawberries, balsalmic vinegar, sugar and a tiny bit of black pepper and whipped cream and it was amazing.

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I actually used this recipe with another one for homemade shortcake or shortbread and brought it to a neighbors house one night. It was amazing!! Of course the children were skeptical, but after they tried it even the younger ones loved it.

Baked Onion Dip I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I have made this dish three or four times. It is so tasty it gets devoured when I make it for guests. I know it has a ton of calories, so I tend to make it when I know others will be eating it, otherwise I would eat most of it myself.

Guacamole

Awesome! I have made this serveral times and love it. It keeps a lot longer in the refridgerator than most recipes because of all the lime juice.

Annette's Great Ham Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
That was my first attempt at baking a ham and it was so deliceous I am going to send the recipe to friends for the holidays. I was short on time, so I cut the 5lb bone in ham in half (as best I could) and layed each half down in the baking dish with the fatty layer on top, cutting criss-crosses in the top layer. I cooked it for a little over two hours and it was so good I can't wait to share it with guests next time.

Excellent Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I ended up using a chicken stock paste I mixed with boiling water and it has bits of onion and carrots I think, but it was delicious! Next time (and for the leftovers) I am adding double the amount of broccoli.
