Bacon Baked Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
This recipe was really good. The only change I made was to break up the bacon to fry and put the brown sugar on top of it in the frying pan. As soon as all of the sugar melted I mixed it in. (got this idea from another allrecipe) Big hit at the picnic I brought it to. Thanks for the recipe!!

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Really Really good! My husband and I were both pleasantly surprised. The only change I made was to use cr of chicken and cr of mushroom soup. Also, milk instead of mayo. One word of caution, eat the leftovers in a day or toss (trust me). Thanks for a great recipe!

Classic Veal Marsala

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
We are actually Big Veal Marsala lovers in my house and this recipe got a thumbs up! I liked using the shallots instead of onions, makes for a sweeter flavor. I also added a slice of prosciutto ham on each piece of veal after pounding. I used toothpicks to keep it in place. I would suggest this to HUNGRYJOHN to cut down on the sweet and add some salty flavor. It was delicious and pretty quick to make. Thanks for the recipe, Nan! Will definitely use it again!

Cavatini II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
This was good but I thought it had too much Ricotta, made mine a little lumpy. I did like using the 3 different macaroni types, great way to get rid of what's left in the bottom of the box. I did also add alot more spices in the sauce. 4 star, will try it again. Thanks!

The Best Chicken Soup Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Pretty Good bowl of soup. I thought the recipe was really good and I make alot of soups. I put much more of the spices than called for, as I thought it would be pretty bland without. I also used little shells instead of bowties. All in all it was a winner. Only 4 stars because of spices. Thanks Carrie for posting it!

Veal Mozzarella

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
Love this recipe. If you are a cheese lover, this is a must! Very decadent. The only thing I would advise is you must use good veal, and if it is too thick, pound it thin. A keeper for me, thanks!!

Superfast Asparagus

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
Superfast and superspicy! I think I used too much seasoning as I didn't adjust for having less asparagus. Still like it though, great idea, thanks!

A good marinade. Very easy to make, my family liked it although I thought it was a little mild. Next time maybe I'll kick it up a little.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
Very good! I did make some changes, I made half and half potatoes and carrots. I boiled both for about 5 minutes before baking and doubled the sauce, adding half in the middle of baking time (as suggested by a previous reviewer)This recipe will absolutely be added to my repertoire !! Thanks

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
What an awesome lasagne recipe! I did make a few changes. I used 32 ounces of spaghetti sauce instead of 28 (and had just enough). I also used 1 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb mild Italian sausage. I used fresh mozzarella and left the provolone in slices. My husband thought it was the best lasagne I ever made. My kitchen smelled like an Italian Restaurant. Thanks so much Alysia! I can't wait to eat the leftovers for lunch!

Baked Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
ok, so I had no business even making this dish, as I had no tomatoes, potatoes or tapioca..but I really wanted it anyway. So I played with it a little. I used cornstarch and cold water in place of tapioca (thanks to suggestions of others). I used 3 tbsp sundried tomato paste (all I had) and 1 cup of red wine. I doubled the bread, used beef stock instead of bouillion & water (also doubled) saute'd the vegies, adding garlic, and lastly added fresh thyme from my garden. It was delicious. (even though I DID miss the potatoes) So THANKS Diane for the inspiration and a great recipe. Next time I'll have all the ingredients! thanks again!

Angel Hair Pasta Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This dish was well received by my family of picky eaters. I blanched the vegies quickly to retain their color. and added a little white wine. It was very easy to make, I'd definitely try it again, maybe kick it up just a notch!
